We got our Pup back from the training boot camp in January, and I think Scott and Megan are really knowledgeable. Our pup seems to have picked up great foundations, especially for off-leash walks and settling down in public places—kudos to their training.

However, the reason for my single-star review is that they shaved my pup’s hair without consulting us first. Since he is a Samoyed, if his undercoat is exposed, he's prone to injuries or bruises easily. It’s been 3 months since we got him back, and we’ve been regularly visiting the vet for issues like bruises from his collar or injuries from playing with other dogs

Scott and meagan are amazing! My dog Frankie was pulling on leash and barking at other dogs anytime we went in public. After the time spent with them, Frankie came back heavily improved, and rarely making mistakes unless I messed up. Thank you Warner K9!

Scott worked wonders with my dog. When she was adopted as a puppy, I had no idea what her breed mix was, or what or her personality would become. After a month I realized she was a German Shepherd mixed with...a Malinois. Not an easy breed. I enrolled her in puppy classes, private training, and socialized her with other dogs. As she grew bigger, she became more and more difficult to manage. Despite having worked with two competent trainers as a pup, she was still jumping on people, pulling on leash, highly reactive to dogs, and unable to settle. She was actually kicked out of a group dog walking pack! Friends suggested I find another home for her, which I did not want to do. After completing Scott's board and train program, she had transformed into a loyal, loving dog, who follows commands and is able to settle. I'm no longer afraid she'll jump on my frail parents, or worried that she's going to pull me over. She's a wonderful companion now, just a pleasure to be around. Scott is incredibly knowledgeable, a careful listener, a master at his craft, and just a really cool guy. Highly recommend!

Excellent trainer, even better person!
We signed on with Scott for his "doggie boot camp" 3-4 week training while we were out of town traveling. Our Max got sick and stopped eating. Scott went way above and beyond getting Max to the Vet, advocating for him on our behalf, and really caring for him. A very stressful situation (2,000 miles away from our sick dog) was far more tolerable because of Scott. It was obvious during all our conversations that he truly cared about Max and wanted to see him well.
We took a break to make sure he was fully healthy and sent him back for round two of training and Max is a new dog. He is exceptionally well trained but more importantly, he is more confident and happy. We have used other trainers and Scott's method is both more simple and more effective. I could not recommend Warner K9 more highly.

Just want to start off by saying that they are by far the best trainers! My family and I got a GS/Husky mix not knowing what was coming our way. He pulled very hard on the leash, the whining was uncontrollable, he jumped on every person that came near, and was just overall a mess! We thought there was no hope for him and started thinking of giving him away:( I decided to look for trainers, then came across Warner K9 and we DONT REGRET IT. All the problems we had prior, GONE. Highly recommend them!! Thank You Scott and Meagan!

Cannot recommend Scott enough. ?

Scott is incredibly intelligent with vast knowledge regarding dog training and, importantly, understands that it's not 'one size fits all'. He is forever working to expand his knowledge base and knows that dog training is an ever changing science. He molds the training plan to the dog and owner.

What I especially love about him is that he asks you to put into words what issues you might be having or what you'd like to work on. It truly is a team effort between the owner, the dog and him, the trainer. Not just someone telling you what to do and asking you to blindly follow along. If you have questions or potential ideas you'd like to bounce off of him, he is more than receptive. To top it off, he's a genuinely kind and caring person who pours his heart into his love for training. Very easy to chat (& laugh!) with.

For those considering or currently involved in dog sports, particularly ringsport, taking the opportunity to train with Scott is a must! Safety of the dog should always be top priority of both the handler and the decoy. This is, without a doubt, his top concern. Reasons to work with Scott, to name a few: safely catches dogs, understands their body language, knows when & how much pressure to apply, fantastic with puppies & building them, knows the French ring exercises inside and out, has awesome ways of teaching each exercise that are so simple that handlers go home with homework, the list just goes on and on. Bottom line, if you have the chance to work with him, DO IT!

We love him so much that we fly him in to south Texas whenever we can. Wire and Ess will be here waiting for the next time!

Just received our puppy, Scout, back from the 5 week training program with Scott and we are blown away!! We are so impressed with the change in her confidence, first and foremost, but Scott has delivered us a dog who is well behaved, potty trained, crate trained, can follow commands to sit, lay down, stay on her bed, and walks on a loose leash without hardly any correction. We were so impressed we’ve already planned on bringing her back in a few months for the advanced off leash training program he offers. This is our third dog as a family and while we had been raised around dogs all of our lives, we were not prepared for the multitude of issues that can arise from trauma or poor socialization of dogs. We had a former pup suffer from reactivity to other dogs and we were either too busy with work or ill equipped to work on her issues effectively and it completely hampered her ability to lead a normal life. Our current senior dog suffered trauma a puppy and we watched first hand how training, specifically board and train, could help the dog gain confidence and grow into a happy and confident part of the family. With Scout- we knew from the moment we got her that our young family (with two active littles) would be too much distraction for proper training at home. Luckily our neighbor had rave reviews about Scott and Warner K9 Training. Scott was so responsive and happy to answer questions throughout the training process as well as give us updates often. Not only is he a wealth of knowledge- he is a true animal lover and so in tune with the dog’s body language and emotional health. His training method is simple to put into effect and easy to work back into practice if needed. I can’t tell you how valuable it is to have a dog who will heel easily and come, sit and lay down at a command. The stay on bed command is also super handy while working from home! Scott’s home where he boards and trains is a dog’s heaven with a place to swim, run and socialize with other dogs in a completely safe environment. I can’t wait to continue her training at home and with Scott for an advanced program later this year!

Scott is an amazing dog whisperer. He potty-trained my 5mos old puppy, and taught him the basic commands to enable a single, full-time working individual to bring him home without issue. The puppy walks on leash brilliantly, never lunging, he doesn't bark ever, he's only peed in the house once, and he's fully crate trained. A testament to Scott's gentle approach to training: after having him home for about 6 weeks, Scott came back to check in on the puppy—immediately, the puppy recognized Scott and behaved perfectly to get all the pets and attention (and okay yes treats!) he knew Scott would give him. I found Scott to be super flexible about my needs, and my willingness to engage in corrective behavior versus just rewarding behavior. He has been over-the-top kind and generous to me in helping get my new puppy settled into his new life. I would absolutely recommend Scott to anyone who is looking for a kind, gentle but consistent training program to grow your puppy into the best dog he or she can be.
