I can’t say enough good things about Les and Dog Squad Training. I recently adopted a "spicy" two-year-old mixed breed and quickly realized that I wasn’t told the whole story by the foster parents. While I knew she was high-energy and playful, I didn’t know she was dog-reactive. As someone new to the area, working full-time, and with no experience managing this type of behavior (all of my dogs growing up were dog-friendly), I started feeling overwhelmed pretty quickly. Walks around the neighborhood were stressful, with dogs seemingly everywhere, and my anxiety wasn’t helping my pup either.

I am so grateful to have found Les. She has an incredible connection with dogs, and her approach is thoughtful and practical. She came to me, walked around my neighborhood with my dog and me, and trained her in a familiar environment. This not only helped my dog but gave me the tools and knowledge to better understand her behavior, communicate with her, and bond with her more deeply.

Les went above and beyond. She met me at different dog parks across the city and provided offline support, plus extra lessons to ensure both my dog and I felt confident. My dog isn’t best friends with other dogs yet, but I feel so much calmer and more equipped to handle challenging situations—and that confidence has made all the difference for her too.

If you’re looking for a dog trainer who truly cares, is highly skilled, and will support you every step of the way, I can’t recommend Les enough!

Where do I even begin with all that Les has done for my partner, our pups, and me? We started 2024 unsure how we would blend our lives, especially with the way our dogs interacted. Les was incredible in helping my puppy learn to be calm, listen, and build a better relationship with me. She also worked with my partner and his dog to strengthen their bond.

After helping us individually, Les began training the dogs together, which was our ultimate goal from the start. The improvement in their relationship was amazing from the first session to the last. Thanks to Les, we gained the tools we needed to blend our lives—and now, we're going into 2025 engaged! We feel so confident about the future, and it’s all thanks to her.

We can’t recommend Les enough and tell everyone we can about her. Les, thank you for everything you’ve done for our little family. Our boys now play, sleep, and eat together—all thanks to you!

We worked with Les at Dog Squad Dog Training over 2 years ago. Our dog was about 5 months old when we started working with Les. The support we received was invaluable. Tika is a great dog and the training she got (and we got) from Les played a huge role in her development. I could not recommend Les enough!!

Les is the best! We love her training style. She finally helped us train our pup without using treats as motivation. She is kind, thoughtful, and a joy to work with. She definitely knows her stuff too. We appreciate her experience and patience with us as we learn how to train our first puppy. We’ve had a great experience. We absolutely recommend Les to anyone seeking high quality training that will last a lifetime.

I can not thank Les enough for her help with our dog Cookie! Les truly has a gift when it comes to dealing with troublesome issues as it relates to dogs. Cookie is a rescue and had some issues with socialization, leash aggression, and being in public spaces. Through Les' patient and hands on approach, we were able to better understand where Cookie is coming from and train her accordingly. Les' instructions were also clear and easy to understand, plus she was available whenever we needed her. Cookie and I give her 5 stars! ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

Les was a massive resource and a giant help for our 80 lb. husky/shepherd mix pup that we adopted earlier this year. We needed guidance, training, and reassurance that we were on the right track in setting our puppy up for success and Les delivered in reaching all of these goals. Les has a lot of experience and a great philosophy going into the training that gave us confidence in building the trust we needed. Les was also very flexible when setting up sessions which really helped. Very much recommend Les, you and your dog will not regret it!

Les was a huge help with my dogs Teddy and Bambino! She had great advise for helping Teddy’s anxiety around people and other dogs and helped train my younger pup Bambino on general things like walking without pulling, staying, not jumping up on people, listening to certain commands, etc…I can honestly say that my dogs’ behavior now compared to before Les’ help is like night and day. I highly recommend Les to friends, family and everyone else.

I found Les through a personal recommendation and I am more than pleased to have worked with her. I had just adopted a high energy rescue pup who was quite anxious and not house trained. We were able to train approximately 1x maybe 2x per month a total of 6 sessions and my pup is now a confident doggy who currently is trusted to hike off leash and joins me at other public places. Les was warm and very knowledgeable on how to personalize to the needs, of not only my pup, but later on my little pack. In the last months of Bagis training my fiancé and I decided to move both our completely stranger dogs together and Les was an elemental tool in accomplishing a harmonious transition. At first Bagi the pup was really vocal and somewhat aggressive towards my fiances 90lb dog and I was really afraid things wouldn't workout. Though the situation took a while to improve with Les' help plus discipline to follow her advice and exercises we have a happy house now with two medium/ large dogs who seem to love each-other now and are much better listeners.
