Oakland Dog Training Club

Signing up for the classes was a bit difficult, but based on the nosework class I took with Albert, I'll definitely be back for more! My class had everything from nervous to fearful to overexcited dogs (mine was the latter), and all were handled perfectly.

We went to a beginner obedience class with an older dog we recently adopted. They seem to expect that the owners already have experience training dogs and that the dog already know several commands. The instructor wasn't able to help us and at one point shouted at me. We had asked over email if it was necessary to go to the small dog class. They never responded to that portion of the email and instead just told us to show up with a check. When we showed up, there was a pitbull that was literally 10x the size of our dog. The larger dog wasn't threatening but our dog was naturally quite intimidated. On the positive side they didn't charge us for the one class and we won't be returning.

Excellent, professional owner/trainers who understand dogs and can train us to train our dogs. Well-equipped facilities, good parking, and a varied schedule of course offerings. Better value than pet stores for 7-week classes and I feel confident with the trainers' understanding of dog behaviors and correction. Worth every penny!

Their small dog class is great. Our dog has gained so much confidence from going to these classes. Lauri is the best!

We trained all over ..paying a lot of $. Then we found this club. No need to go any further. Highly recommend.

Puppy class trainers are really, really bad. They'd make good drill seargants. Condescending and not caring. Kill joys with a chip on their shoulders.

Best place to learn how to train your dog. Thoughtful, knowledgeable, sensitive trainers familiar with all breeds of dogs.
