Jonathan helped me train Spencer, a dog I rescued a couple months ago. Spencer had some issues with leash reactivity and fear-based reactivity, as well as anxiety around navigating public places.

Pack Leader Dog Training really helped us by giving us tools to help with his general anxiety, and managing Spencer’s reactivity to the triggers that scare him.

The first training sessions were at home or nearby, which was really helpful for me to learn how to communicate with Spencer, as well as setting a routine and boundaries. We then went to places with more people and dogs, and Jonathan showed me how to work with Spencer and manage his anxiety with more distractions. There is a huge improvement in Spencer’s behavior now, and he’s much more relaxed.

This training worked very well for us, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone else looking to train and understand their dog better.

I enrolled our 5 month old puppy in classes held at the Pet Food Express in Pinole led by Jonathan. He always asked at the beginning of the lessons if I had particular things that we needed to work on or concerns and he would adapt each lesson to address those needs. He also taught us the puppy basics and I feel like I learned just as much as my puppy did. Jonathan was friendly and patient. Overall it was a great experience and worth the money.

Jonathan evaluated a dog that I rescued that had fear agression. He was so good that the dog did not jump at him out of fear. He said with traing that he could be rehabilitated. He is extremely knowledgable and kind. We will be using his services with our do that has anxiety.
