I came to NPS for the self wash with my Great Pyrenees and Parker was super helpful! I asked if there was a certain kind of soap possibly that wasn’t out and he found the one I was needing as well as had some brush suggestions for my dogs specific coat! Went ahead and got me a quote for a grooming, (CHEAPEST IVE EXPERIENCED!! And met the groomer!!) definitively definitely definitively!!! Coming back! My dog loved the stored and we got lots of free treats! The staff was cheerful and you could tell they loved what they do.

Absolutely lovely pet shop! This is our favorite place to come with our Goldendoodle. Great assortment of treats, lots of fun critters for my kids to see. They especially love the resident turtles that roam the store!

*Cleanest*, most organized, Pet Store that I have been in by far! Staff were professional, approchable, & friendly. They were very busy but not too busy to answer questions. Shelves & displays had a nice selection of every item we looked at. I was not expecting to see the huge Tortoise as I rounded the corner; but how neat is that?!? I appreciated receiving info about app. Clerk was very personable & waited until I got email. Explained well about rewards & other online features. I will definitely recommend. Thank you for being here for our community❣️?

I really like this store and want to give it a better rating. But the store cat is a big problem. Batman (the cat) clearly doesn't like other animals and seems stressed about being in the store setting. I can't take my dog to this store because the cat attacks it. My dog was sitting next to me and the cat came across the store to attack it. When I spoke to the employees they said the car really doesn't like other animals and they can't always get to it in time to put it in the break room when someone brings their dog in. I can't take my son to this store because he saw the cat eating a hamster and is scared of it now.
I have no problem with a store having a cat or dog or turtle. But Batman does not seem to be adapting to the role very well and the store managers should do what is right by him and keep him at home.
The self-service dog baths are really nice and well priced. I would use them every time if I felt safe bringing my dog to the store. The fish supply selection is really good, with a focus on quality and options. (I don't buy fish here because I they never have what I'm looking for. But the tanks are ok.)

The store itself is super clean and tidy with a really sweet staff! However, I really wish someone knowledgeable on saltwater care would help those poor fish.
Suffering from HLLE, ick, rampant algae growth and decaying fish. It’s sad and disappointing that these fish are still being sold when they should be treated and quarantined. Make sure you examine and quarantine ALL fish you get from here or else they’ll be dying soon and you’ll be out money!

Edited: After publicly sharing on my Facebook an employee whom I’m not friends with started to argue over the state of the tanks, which you can tell from these 3 different tanks are all filthy. After proceeding to discuss these issues, it was brought to my attention Neighborhood Pet Shoppe removed the ability to leave reviews on Facebook. It’s extremely distasteful not only the owner but workers as well would rather argue with customers than to address the state of their husbandry.

My fiancé went into purchase some dog food and was stopped by the manager on duty Tanya Salas, and was told he would be allowed to continue shopping in this location. I, however, would not be allowed in per the owners until I removed all of my unsatisfactory reviews. I think it is EXTREMELY unprofessional to BAN customers simply based on their concerns over the well-being of the animals in their care, and the fear of being held accountable in future situations.

Please be aware of the places you shop!!

RESEARCH the animals you’re looking at first and make sure you can tell the differences between healthy and sick!

Ensure the husbandry is correct AND maintained or else you WILL be taking home a sick animal.

Every time I've been here I've been helped by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. They have had and met all my pet needs. The pets appear to be well taken care of. The pet enclosures and the store are clean and welcoming as well as the staff. 10/10 recommend.

Amazing pet shop! I got a baby sulcata tortoise today! She’s absolutely wonderful. The guy helping us out was so nice and helped find everything we needed for her tank. The store was beautiful, clean, had so much stuff! You can even pick some of the animals up and pet them.

This is a wonderful place to get a wide variety of pets ? We got 2 absolutely precious bunnies from here, and have absolutely loved every second of having them! Ms.Wilda was extremely helpful with any questions we had about what they needed, didn't need and made me feel comfortable enough to know I can call or text her any time if I have any more questions on bunny care ( these are our first rabbits) I've done a ton of research before getting them but still didn't know the needs of young bunnies until coming in the pet shop... I highly recommend stopping in, even just to look, they have so much to see, my kids were amazed to see everything ajd wanted to see it all before we left.. Thank you so much for all of your help ❣️
