I wanted to wait a year before leaving a review to see if the training’s effects would last—and I’m happy to say they absolutely have. Pascal, my Mini Aussie, is an amazing dog. Everyone who meets him, from trainers to fellow dog owners, comments on how well-rounded, confident, kind, and obedient he is.

One of the most impressive things is how well-socialized Pascal is around other dogs. He understands and respects both human and canine boundaries, which makes him a joy to be around. His recall is excellent, he responds well to commands, understands that no is “no,” and he’s incredibly patient and communicative.

Rachele and her team did a fantastic job. The commands they taught Pascal are ingrained in him, at least the ones we’ve consistently reinforced. He’s confident in public places, handles crowds, escalators, and even a plane ride like a pro.

Pascal attended the “Grow With You” program at My Clever Canine when he was three months old, and we brought him back again at six months. Thanks to this early start, he’s had a great foundation in life, which is evident every day. As a Mini Aussie, his breed has some challenging qualities, like a bit of anxiety, but My Clever Canine brought out all of his best traits—loyalty, friendliness, eagerness to please, and intelligence.

My Clever Canine Dog Training provided the perfect training and socialization for our shy, timid puppy. It was a bit of a challenge as she was not extremely food motivated! They were able to use their years of experience and knowledge (and high value treats) to keep her engaged and motivated to learn.

They provided weekly updates on her progress. We were also trained and were able practice with her at their facility. We were taught the proper terminology and techniques to continue her training at home.

I cannot say enough about My Clever Canine. I have a 3 year old English Lab that my wife and I had just about given up taking on walks because of his out of control lease reaction behaviour. When Tim and Amy were recommended to us, we were a little skeptical leaving Koda with My Clever Canine for 6 weeks, but what a change. Our boy came back 100% better. I am now confident my wife can walk Koda without fear of being jerked off her feet by his lease reaction issue. He is well mannered on walks, listens to her, and when at home, is his normal loving self. Our trainer, Bridget has been amazing. She continues to follow up with us and always has constructive advice to handle different issues that occasionally pop up. The money we spent has been an investment in Koda's success and our piece of mind. I would recommend Tim, Amy and their staff anytime.

Well, as first time dog owners, we had no idea what we were in for. We very quickly realized that with two young boys and a puppy we needed help! and since there were not realistic options for the kids, we found Tim and Amy at My Clever Canine. Our girl is so great and we owe so much to them. Her puppy bitting was nipped in the bud and her ability recognize and follow commands has been top notch since her time at puppy and adolescent camp. And the best part? When we leave town, they take the best care of her that everytime we even pass the highway exit to their place, she’s overjoyed. It’s so wonderful having a second home where we know she’s loved and cared for (and her training is reinforced!) when we need it. I adopted a German Shepherd husky mix puppy in June. I wanted a dog that was athletic enough to hike with me and protect me. Then in September she was running with a group of dogs at the dog park and I couldn't get her to come. She was not good with recall. When she finally came back to me with a pack of dogs running full speed, she didn't stop! All the dogs ran into me from the side totally destroyed my knee. After emergency knee surgery I was incapable of taking care of my puppy and I really worried she would go feral and become destructive out of boredom.

I was referred to My Clever Canine by a client who had used them before. I was dubious because I've heard bad things about these boarding / training schools but went for it because I needed time to recover.

I am 100% satisfied. From Amy who took my call and put my mind at ease to Tim who produces helpful videos and texted me advice (dog and owner whisperer) when I was missing my dog, to Bridget the trainer who helped my puppy Harper become an obedient, lovable, perfect pet. I'm 100% happy with all of them.

After 5 weeks of recovery my knee brace came off and my puppy came home and it's a miracle. Now she comes when I call her. She doesn't jump on me. She sits and stays and calmly walks beside me, even though I am still walking very slowly.

I have trained other dogs in the past. I've worked with other professional trainers, but I've never had a large breed dog and it's a much different training experience. I definitely needed professional help that was more intensive than the once a week Saturday training classes that I attended with prior dogs.

I didn't want Harper to lose her personality at the board & train. I didn't want her to come home rigid or fearful. I loved her just the way she was, other than her horrible recall and her rowdiness that destroyed my ability to walk for the next 6 months to a year 🙂

My Clever Canine uses training techniques that are a great mix of discipline with warmth and affection.

Harper is still Harper but she is calm and will mannered and I feel safe with her. Now I am in charge. I still have my loving puppy but she's not knocking me over anymore. Even though I'm still very unstable, she isn't hurting me.

We’ve taken our labradoodle, Poppy, to My Clever Canine a few times for training and boarding, and always had a great experience. The off-leash 1 month training is especially effective, and has stuck with Poppy. It’s made having a dog so much more enjoyable, since we can give her some freedom, and have confidence that she’ll come when called. Poppy is very energetic and smart, and really needed some good solid training to start her off right, otherwise her chewing and jumping get her into trouble. Amy, Tim and their team are really kind and nice to work with, and have made a huge difference for our family! We continue to send Poppy for boarding and an occasional brush-up training.

We are blown away by the quality of the training provided by My Clever Canine and the great care they took of our pup! Our pomsky Plush was there for 6 weeks for a off leash program (May 2022). The team kept us updated while he was there (see some pics they sent us) and we were very well taught how to take over once he’ll be back home, we felt very confident and knowledgeable when Plush came back home. It’s awesome having a dog with a good recall, we now feel much more confident having him play in unfenced park or walk off leash. Can’t thank the team enough and in particular Emily!
