I was recommended by my vet to hire Denise. I had unknowingly got a puppy mill dog that was barely functioning. She was terrified of everything (including doors, people, leashes, etc), had severe separation anxiety (where I could not leave the house at all), and I was struggling to make her more comfortable. I called Denise for help and she quickly worked us into her schedule. Instead of training Stevie, my dog, she trained me. She taught me tricks to use, and the science behind it. It only took a few lessons for Stevie to be a completely different dog. Not only was she less anxious, I was less anxious as well, it was a fix for both of us. Now Stevie follows commands and is overall an extremely happy dog. I know that without Denise’s help, it would have taken so much longer to help Stevie. I couldn’t be more thankful.

Absolutely wonderful! Denise is professional and a fantastic teacher. I successfully used her techniques to introduce Tucker to his new pillow for his kennel. I was amazed at how easy it was. I highly recommend her!

Denise was awesome! I have a Rhodesian Ridgeback who is reactive to strangers, not aggressive just wary. Anyway, I went in thinking that I had to change my boy, make him love everyone, but Denise really leaned into who Hanno is. We worked on a script for when we meet strangers, we strategized about places to go to socialize, we worked on how to give Hanno plenty of outs in stressful situations, and she worked hard to help me recognize HIS cues. To be honest, I took much more work than he did. So thankful for my time with Denise. She’s patient and kind and really knows her stuff ?.

We are currently working with Denise regarding a young dog we adopted. As soon as I met Denise, I felt comfortable. She also immediately took action and shows confidence in her craft. Denise is an amazing trainer! We have two dogs on each end of the spectrum - one very easy going and one very high strung. She had tailored, PRACTICAL solutions for the specific challenges we were facing. I especially love the games for our anxious girl, making training fun for both of us. Most importantly, Denise’s love of animals and passion for teaching their humans shined through in every session - and we have seen so much improvement. Don’t waste any time with other training - go straight to Denise!

Denise is such a gem of a human and a trainer. I found her online and reached out. She was easy to schedule with. She met me at my house the first time and was gentle and adaptive when getting to know my dog. She let my pup take the lead and show her what he was comfortable with. While she played with my dog and built trust, we talked thru things I wanted to work on. I had a limited amount of time to work thru things before I was leaving town. We were able to schedule a block of training sessions in advance. We met at my house twice, at Kingfish, at Gulley, and at the Co-Op. This was great, because it allowed us to work thru real life scenarios I deal with each day and address them in real time. One thing we were working on with my dog is reactivity. In moments where my dog reacts, and I start to worry, Denise was just so calm and in control it made it easy to copy and learn what to do. She is available to text in between sessions as questions come up. I have taken her up on this several times and always get a quick response. My dog and I both love Denise. I truly cannot recommend her enough. I am so thankful for the time my pup and I have spent with her and look forward to working with her in the future.

We absolutely love Denise’s training! We’ve participated in Sippin’ Sessions, Agility and In-Home. Not only does Arlo love her, I have learned a lot and able to use what she’s taught when I’m by myself!
