Subject: Warning Regarding Your Animal First - Legal Dispute and Service Concerns

I wanted to share my recent experience with Kate O'Reilly DBA Your Animal First. I was awarded $1,018.88 in a court case (2024-SC-000826) after my cat was overdosed due to her administering 30 units (a full syringe) of medication. Additionally, her website inaccurately claimed that she was fully insured, which was not the case.

Given this, I strongly advise against using her services.

Kate was amazing! She is very organized, professional, and communicative. She played with our pups, sent pics with each visit, and used a lot of creativity with our "escape artist." She also handled our home security false-alarm well and adjusted her schedule to make sure our home and pups were safe. We already have her scheduled to watch our dogs for our next out of town trip.

YAF provided cat and plant-sitting services at my home for a week. I was impressed by their attention to detail on the pre-sitting walkthrough, consistent daily feedback, promptness, and obvious love for animals.

Kate took time to play with my kitten and soothe my shy kitty each day. She visited with them as well as attending to their daily needs. No worries when YAF is watching! The added peace of mind while on vacation was well worth the cost.

Kate always takes good care of my kitty. You can tell she really loves animals. I enjoy the photos of my kitty that she sends to me. She’s flexible too. One time I came back to town earlier than I had planned, so I notified her that I didn’t need her to come for her last visit. She gave me a credit for another visit.

Kate is absolutely AMAZING!! I hadn’t had a dog in 8 months and I brought home a 6 week old boxer puppy in the middle of January. I also work 12 hour shifts! Kate made it so easy for me and was the biggest help and still is the biggest help!!
