My daughter has been at Windy Creek for 6 years. Windy Creek, Liz and Emma are wonderful. A fantastic facility, with fantastic people. While my daughter rides, I soak in the beauty and tranquility surrounding us. This team of excellent teachers are gems for both horse and rider. While we like to think we are no drama equestrians, a huge rainstorm ended up with us being in the “drama” column. Liz and her husband rescued our stuck trailer. They were incredibly gracious throughout our stay. When the sun finally came out, we were impressed with their lovely facility, and we look forward to visiting there again!

I wanted to give an AMAZING shout out to this facility. My friends and I boarded our horses there June 16th-18th 2023. We didn’t realize this area had been getting hit with daily rain storms for the last 3 weeks. The managers were SUPER HELPFUL in pulling my trailer out out of their old hay field. The managers of this facility went above and beyond to make sure we were able to make it to our horse show @ Nighthawk 1.6 miles away.
In fact, they were so helpful that for our horse in July we didn’t even bother getting stalls at Nighthawk. We plan on staying at Windy Creek Ranch again.

Great place to stay in awesome western setting. Mountains, horses, dogs and pet pig adds to the ambiance. Hosts are genuinely nice people. We enjoyed the back porch and ate dinner outside while the sun set watching rabbits run wild and listening to the farm animals. Comfortable bed, private bath and in case you forgot any travel necessities they had some to share.

Highly recommended barn and horse motel. Stopped here with Polly on our way through town doing publicity for our upcoming Public TV series on Rocky Mountain PBS. Windy Creek is close to the main highway but far enough from the city to guarantee that country feel. Easy trailer parking. Safe corrals. Happy horses. I'd sure come back. Stopped through late for an overnight. Liz was very accommodating even at the late hour and got us get in safely in a nice quiet spot. Easy to get to, GPS got us right there. Pretty peaceful setting.
