I had a disappointing experience at Western Farm in Santa Rosa. While they offer good products, their prices are unreasonable, and their customer service is severely lacking. The staff operates with a rigid, robotic attitude, showing no willingness to assist beyond the bare minimum.

I arrived 13 minutes before closing to use the self-service dog wash, only to be turned away because I was supposed to arrive at least 15 minutes prior. Rather than offering any flexibility or a courteous explanation, they simply stated, “That’s the rule,” with no empathy or effort to accommodate me. It felt dismissive and unprofessional.

A business should value its customers and provide service with a human touch. Unfortunately, Western Farm falls short in this regard. I won’t be returning until they improve their approach to customer service.

Huge selection. I was able to get my dog her first round of shots to administer myself, for a fraction of what my vet was trying to charge me. They explained everything in detail and made sure I understood how to give the shots and all the steps I needed to take.

The nicest people work here! Ready to help when you walk in. There's a ton of stuff you could need for your garden and pets. They will also help load your stuff into your vehicle if you would like. Love this place. Support local!

Very accommodating inventory has yet to leave me without what I need. Equally accommodating staff have always been pleasant and helpful while I make up words for what I need on a project... which reminds me. I need more confabulators. 🤔

The best store for all my dog needs. And they love coming in here and saying hello to the friendly staff here. They only carry high quality products and at a fair price, have a generous exchange policy. There is no need to go to Petco or Petsmart for anything anymore.

In 1967 the Western Farm Center opened for business and began supplying feed and equipment to local farms. As time went on, so did urbanization. Western Farm expanded its offerings to include pet food and more related products for these pets. Their goal is to provide high quality products and a service team that makes your buying experience so complete that you want to keep returning. Being a pet friendly store, I bring my dog and get help with what I need from the first employee I encounter. They are always friendly and very informative. I also bring my cat and dog to Sunday vaccination clinics. Western Farm also offers chick's, chickens and birds. Also known as the Farm in the City, this establishment is a great asset to the community.
