Lawren was a huge help with our transition from one to two dogs. We started with chaos and the dogs running our house, and ended our time with very well behaved dogs that are oft complimented in public.

He is very patient, easy to understand, and practical. Not only did he do wonders with our standard poodles (off leash recall, place, good manners), he trained my husband and I to be more assertive and understand the way a dog thinks.

I can’t recommend Lawren enough. I reached out to him after my dog had bit another dog. The in home training was fantastic as my dog is mostly reactive around my apartment building. Training at Lawren’s place was also great. Lawren helped me gain confidence that I could control my dog and honestly, training was a blast! Friends and neighbors comment on how well behaved my dog is now. We go to dog parks without worry. Lawren helped strengthen the bond I already had with my pup. Highly recommend.

My Nala girl is a rescued, 2-year-old Australian Cattle Dog/Husky mix and has the sweetest spirit at home, but new places/people/dogs/things outside the home could turn into a nightmare of an experience. She would get selective hearing, start to pull, and get reactive around other dogs and sometimes people. We’d tried other trainers in the past but had not been able to effectively address these hurdles. I felt like we were a bit stuck and just weren’t progressing.

We came to Lawren to get ‘unstuck’ in our training. During the consultation, he provided such valuable information and things I could immediately start working on with Nala to get her to engage with me more in new environments and around higher distractions. I felt we made more progress in 30 minutes than the hours upon hours I’d spent with previous trainers. Also, Nala took to Lawren right away making him the first trainer she’s ever befriended - ever!

During training, Lawren has just been a phenomenal educator. He explains everything so clearly, makes the homework easy to understand, and is such a calm and patient leader. I left every training session feeling inspired to do the work and have fun with Nala along the way. It’s turned our walks and outings from nightmares into adventures I get to take with my best friend. It’s also helped me communicate expectations more clearly with Nala and give her more freedom as we help her make the right decisions on her own.

Since working with Lawren, we’ve been able to take Nala to several walking trails, go off-leash at a park and even go to an outdoor mall and coffee shop - all major milestones that several weeks ago I could not fathom I’d be doing with Nala at this point.

I can’t thank Lawren enough! This has been a transformative process for us, and Walking with Walter will be our go-to for training moving forward.

Lawren is amazing! We have a 5 month old lab mix puppy from the rescue and though we love her a ton, she was driving us crazy.
