Dr. Green is wonderful! He explained everything to me before doing anything. I drove well over 3 hours to get there, and I can say I'll do it again if I ever needed to. Thank you, Dr. Green and all the staff for treating us like family.

As many people have noted in reviews here, VCA is all about profit. We have been using the VCA in Fort Collins for years for our cat's dental work as well as for emergency services, we have a primary care veterinarian that doesn't offer these services.

We brought our cat here for her dental work, she has a tooth reabsorption disorder and needs to occasionally have her teeth checked. Due to her age and an autoimmune condition, our regular vet recommends against vaccination. We have a medical exemption that is legally recognized by the State of Colorado. Previously this has been acceptable and we have never had an issue at VCA or anywhere else.

Clearly vaccines have become a crucial part of the VCA's revenue model. We were asked three separate times prior to even seeing a vet (once when I made the appointment, once when we arrived and once when we were put in the treatment room), if we would need any vaccines. Each time I politely declined and said that we have a primary care vet that takes care of those things.

We didn't even have an opportunity to be seen by the vet, Dr. Vega entered the room clearly agitated that our cat was not up to date on her rabies vaccine and told us that due to state mandates, she would not be able to see us without the vaccine. She stated that "age isn't a reason not to vaccinate," and that she has vaccinated lots of elderly cats (this is kind of funny/not funny considering there is another review on yelp of a woman whose cat reacted negatively to a rabies vaccine administered by the VCA and then got horrible treatment from them). Dr. Vega clearly didn't read the form or see that our cat has other medical conditions in addition to her age which qualifies her for the exemption. She told us that our exemption was not a "true medical exemption" and that they couldn't accept it.

My husband and I had both taken the day off work for the appointment and were very frustrated that we were denied any help due to our cat's vaccination status. I called our primary care vet immediately and she was very confused. She said that the form we have is a legal document, which is recognized by the state and that she is qualified to determine that the risks of vaccination outweigh the benefits in our situation.

Clearly profit was more important to Dr. Vega than understanding our pets' individualized medical needs. We will not be stepping foot in this hospital again.

I could not recommend this hospital enough. Dr. Petrovec and Dr. Sellers are the two main providers my pups have seen. They are so understanding and so quick to help with any care my fur kids need. I have been going to VCA FoCo since 2019, and I plan to go as long as I possibly can, even with the 45 minute drive it takes. I have never received better advice, care, or memory from any other hospital staff. From my most recent distressing visit for my old gal Macy, Dr. Petrovec, Dr. Sellers, and Alina (and many more, I am horrible with names) all deserve serious raises!! Thank you guys so much for the care you have provided for the past 4 years.

We all know what a bad vet is, so ill save you the read, they are a bad veterinary clinic. The front desk isn't friendly, or helpful. I tried using there services, clinic and urgent care (urgent care wasn't even needed, but I was still trusting the people who should be trustworthy) on multiple occasion over the past year, all of which were terrible experiences, so bad they brought me to tears. I feel so much better knowing we will be going to another place with the care of our dog. just awful.

We brought my dog here for the first time on a Sunday with stomach issues. Everyone was great! Treated him accordingly and were very open about the cost of things and which procedures should be priority and which could maybe wait. We have been back twice since and every visit is always as great as the first.

Please don’t tell me to go next door to urgent care so I can “get in sooner” and then deny my dogs allergy prescription (apoquel) because he is due for his annual wellness exam. I had it scheduled and you encouraged me to go next store to get in sooner. Exactly what I did and paid the $123 exam fee over there, then you want me to come again to you for another $103 so I can get his prescription refilled? No thanks, had I known his prescription would be denied I would have kept my original appointment time. This is shady business and money grabbing just unethical in my opinion.

We visited VCA after hours for emergency services for both of our dogs. The staff was kind, patient with us people but quick with the pets, our vet was knowledgeable and informative, and our fur babies received top-notch care!
