Just past SACRAMENTO , right off Hwy I-5 a stop for gas turned into decent stay Couldn't believe my eyes ...a wee Mom & Pop " INN " .standing all alone , clean as a whistle nothing fancy and we were very tired Although the Gas bar was coupla hundred yards away I pulled in to the MOTEL Portico 1st to see if he had a room ..a kind man gave me an overnight late check in deal @ 80 USD all in . No breakfast but coffee , our room was the ground floor , a hot bath , and a big window where I could see our vehicle park right out the door so it felt safe .Gas bar down the way a few hundred feet but this Inn is quiet and that was all I expected . By the time the overnight bag was in the room it was dark . So glad I found this acceptable nugget of a Motel Inn called Valley Oaks . Clean and simple ...and there if you need it . Thank You Valley Oaks .

Positive: The rooms were clean and the hotel management understood when I needed to leave a day early and agreed to a refund for the Sunday night. Negative: The information online states the hotel has a swimming pool and this is not true. There is NO swimming pool! I would not have booked this hotel if I knew that.

Three of the interior lights did not work. Cleanliness could’ve been better, but I’ve seen a lot worse. I did appreciate that the housekeepers did not rush us out in the morning. We were able to leave leisurely.

i went there multiple times over the past 2 months and the owner kept raising the price by 20$ every time i visited

We have been staying here for a week while our house is being worked on—quiet, clean, affordable, and all the staff are very nice—the rooms are large with a/c, good sized refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker, and free wi-fi—dogs allowed—we will stay here again—

I've gotten the same set of rooms every time that I have been there so this is the review of the room near the on ramp of highway the prices are very high and rooms are not worth the price the only great amenities it has is bathtubs and a good soak after a long day of work is the best way to help you sleep relaxed and getting a great night's sleep makes your day better...

We stayed here with our 2 dogs on our way to and from Oregon. We had the same room twice and both times, the room was clean and accommodating. The mattresses and bedding were very comfortable. We had a first floor corner room with parking directly in front of our room and yet it was very quiet. No noise or heavy foot traffic.Only problem I had was with the bath mat for the tub. Dirty on the underside of it, but was cleaned/replaced by the time we returned a week later. Would stay again next year.
