Have a dog that thrives on social interactions? Going to daycare at Urban Pooch is a must! The staff are incredible: so friendly and knowledgeable and I completely trust them to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. Love that they require the canine flu vaccine on top of standard vaccinations so I have peace of mind that Gus isn't at risk. Being able to board him in the same familiar environment that he knows and loves has been such a bonus and I love their curated selection of treats, toys and grooming essentials. This is a neighborhood gem and worth every penny for the convenience and welcoming atmosphere! (Don't forget to check out their training classes at their other location too!)

I took my two schnauzers to be groomed at Urban Pooch today and had a wonderful experience! The customer service was above and beyond. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming. Our groomer Kimber did a phenomenal job. They made my pups look gorgeous! Was so nervous to bring my reactive 110 pound German Shepherd to his first ever grooming appointment. But Urban Pooch exceeded all my expectations. The staff were all so kind and caring, and took amazing care of my dog. Thank you to Rene for being so great with anxious pups (and owners 😉 We will definitely be coming back!

They love dogs! been coming to urban pooch for 4+ years. Can only say great many things! Everyone who works there (they have pretty consistent staff with little to no turn over) simply obsessed with dogs. They greet and treat them with so much love! My Mooji runs in excitement when I say “let’s go to urban pooch”.
We did day care, agility classes (at the other location), I buy food, supplements and treats at the Ravenswood store. Staff knows everything about the products and who loves what and open to engage in telling me more about the products etc. the team camaraderie is off the charts positive - clearly this is not just a work place.

Shawn and the team at Urban Pooch have been nothing short of amazing. My dog, Winchester, has been going for a few years now and we’ve had nothing but good experiences. Highly recommended for all of their services (grooming, daycare, boarding) and they’re a great local option for dog (and cat) food, treats, and toys. Plus, they have a points you can earn and spend! This sounds salesy, but I genuinely mean it. They’re a great team of great people, they have good food and toys, and my dog comes home tired at the end of the day. What more could you ask for?

Kind and gracious staff working under highly disorganized dysfunctional management and ownership. My dogs love their staff and format here…HOWEVER - their unpublished policies around daycare packages expiring 45 days from time of purchase are not disclosed and no notice comes other than an automated email from their system 3 days before they expire. At a price of over $50 per dog per day, those packages aren’t cheap (discount per session the more you buy) leaving you in a use it or lose it scenario is far from ideal. They switched software management systems a couple of weeks ago giving customers 36 hours notice and sent an inoperable link expecting pet parents to create and build out entirely new profiles for their pets online and we could not even access the system. No second or corrective email was sent. When I emailed them to inquire about this all I got was excuses that they sent the wrong link, a promise management would be in touch to help me and I never heard back. Not even a corrective email with a revised link. Oh, and now they require a 50% deposit at the time you make all boarding reservations and well. Boarding your dog here is $80+ per night so make sure you have your dates and times right when booking or they will be keeping more of your $$ you’ll have to track down yourself. It’s apparent to me that they have little to no focus on customer service and NONE of their competitors I have checked into in the past week have expirations on daycare packages or 50% deposit requirements for boarding reservations either. It’s gravely disappointing to us as pet parents that they have decided to make working with them such brain damage that our dogs will need to adapt to another environment moving forward. Hopefully this can be a learning lesson for them at my family’s expense. DO BETTER…as north-side pet parents have A LOT of other options.

Urban Pooch was like a 2nd home to our dog for his entire 15 years. He loved the staff and they loved him. He enjoyed every visit and we always felt so confident that our baby was in good hands when we were away. Our dogs Henry and Harold now go there 2 days a week for daycare and for boarding when we travel. Highly recommend!

I absolutely love Urban Pooch! I’ve been bringing my dogs to Urban Pooch since 2018 for daycare, boarding, and the occasional groom, and have always had a positive experience. The staff is super friendly, flexible, and knowledgeable, and I can see their love for my dogs every time I walk in. Mostly importantly, my dogs love it! I recently had a 10 day board, and my dogs were just as excited to come back for daycare the next week, so I know they are having a great time. Another bonus is their great retail section - this is my one stop shop for all my dog needs. I HIGHLY recommend Urban Pooch!
