Fun little hike! Tough to get to the trail head with all of the road closures, but still a very nice spot. Windy in the afternoon, so bring layers. I think the native American dwelling burnt down, but the bore holes can still be found in the rocks at spot #25.

beautiful and serene hiking trail. Best time in thr late afternoon. Much cooler than Lake Isabella. lots of burned trees from the forest fires

A very easy to navigate trail with a simple loop and a short branch to take you to and from the parking lot. The trail is almost entirely shaded and because of the elevation it is cooler than in the valley by about 15 degrees in the summer. There are some rocky parts but nothing too bad. There was a fallen tree in the trail the day I went but it may be removed now. I was able to go around it.
