My husband Rick & I first learned of Ty the Dog Guy’s 9-week training in Fremont, CA after speaking with a neighbor who graduated. We enrolled our two 3-year old French Bulldog littermates after visiting the training site and observing a class. The trainers we had were Trinity, Bryan & Jacob. All 3 have excellent communication skills and are patient with both humans and their dogs. Ours were “pandemic pups” whose training was limited to basic socialization class. We found Ty’s incremental process of using leash w/ probe collar and then adding e-collar (supplies included in cost of class) made sense and we quickly saw positive results. It’s important to note that success is based on willingness of client to commit to daily training. Also recommended is viewing a weekly video that previews each lesson. After Week 8 of 9 weeks, both of our Frenchies respond to commands of Sit, Down, Place, Here (aka Come), Easy. They are well-behaved in public and a joy to be around. We 2 humans have learned a great deal as well! I highly recommend Ty’s training course.

We rescued a German Shepherd puppy in December, 2020. She was almost 4 months old at the time and had already been abandoned, picked up in Oklahoma, kept alone in a facility there, shipped across country to California to another facility and then finally put up for adoption. Needless to say she had developed a few symptoms from this. We adopted her end of December and after doing a lot of research on training facilities I decided to have her evaluated (free by the way) at Ty the Dog Guy in Fremont. They confirmed what I already figured about her personality (it was nice to have that confirmation) and we set up a training plan just 2 weeks after we adopted her. It was the best thing we could have done!

Before training, at 4.5 months old, she was a very nervous and anxious puppy. We could tell she wanted to follow commands but she lacked the confidence to do so. After 9 weeks of training she is a different dog. She is much more confident, she no longer cowers at other humans walking by, she's not afraid of other dogs, she no longer pulls on her collar, she is more settled knowing she has clear direction, she is far less anxious and she is much easier to control. We learned the right way to do things with her and it has greatly benefited her. We were also given tools to assist us in her training and taught the correct way of using them to best care for her needs and training in a kind way.

These are photo's of her the day of her last class, she is 7 months old here with complete focus on me even though there were other dogs walking around the tennis court we were playing in. She didn't move until I asked her to. We would never have gotten to this point without this training. I also feel more confident when I have her out in the community. We have been very successful on walks and trails where there are a lot of other people and dogs, we have taken her into stores with us with no issues as she was very well behaved. Other people that see our puppy are shocked by how well behaved she is and how well she controls herself. That being said, she IS a puppy and I'm sure over time we could both use some refreshers...with Ty the Dog Guy's training, we also have lifetime support! How many other trainers offer that? It's nice to know they will always be there when we need them, even though we have graduated from training.

The trainers at this facility are top notch! They explain things so well and really help you work on what is needed for your dog. They are also very kind and treated my dog just as if she were their own. I am so happy I found them and am thankful for not only helping me teach my dog but for teaching me as well.

If you are on the fence book a free evaluation, you'll be glad you did!

I have been working with Ty one on one with our Catahoula, Mason who is 9 months old. Stubborn as he is, Ty has been able to get Mason to “behave”. The training is awesome. Ty is patient and great to work with! I highly recommend him for any dog training!!! Thanks, Ty!❤️

Thanks Ty for helping us with our quarantine pup - he went from 90# of unmanageable to our well-behaved 100# that I can handle anywhere; the great, hands-on training is worth all the hard work. Totally satisfied, no regrets!

Great training sessions! Everyone is super friendly. LEXY loved everyone! First picture she's down close to another dog that was a big accomplishment for Lexy. She didn't like to stay in her bed but look at how comfortable and calm she is. Thanks guys you did amazing ?

Our experience with Ty the Dog Guy was fantastic and we highly recommend their training program! We brought our two-year old boxer to Ty the Dog Guy when we had problems with her fence fighting at a doggy day care.

The trainers at Ty the Dog Guy taught us how to lower our dog’s excitability and to have her focus on us instead of other dogs. That was the main reason we signed up, but we came away with so much more than we expected. She is now a more balanced dog, and our bond with her grew immensely during the 9 weeks of training. We can now invite people into our home without her pestering them or begging for food, she stays in one spot on command as we move around doing yard work and house work and she walks perfectly at our side with or without a leash.

The trainers were amazing! They explained in detail and demonstrated training techniques, then made sure we were doing them right, correcting us when necessary. Even though owners and dogs received the same basic training in semi-private lessons, the trainers regularly asked about any problems we might be having with our dog to address problems that were specific to our issues. They were always friendly and professional, and we were able to contact them if we had questions while practicing with our dog at home.

Ty the Dog Guy provided us with the necessary skills to help our dog be the best she can be. Thank you!

We chose Ty, with few apprehensions about using e-collar. We have a Shepsky, he is smart but stubborn with anxiety/reactivity issues. We had Bryan as our Trainer and he is wonderful to work with, always available to talk or text when we had questions or concerns. By the time we finished our initial sessions and moved on to the group sessions (in the park) we could see the changes in our dog.

The improvement in our dog has been slow and steady. Another convenient factor was having training videos to help us better understand the training process before our sessions and also getting all the training tools with the service. We are so happy with the progress we are making that we automatically recommend Ty the Dog Guy, whenever possible.

I owe my dog's transformation and the bond we share to the aptly-named "transform your dog in 60 days" program. Jacob and Bryan are legit dog whisperers. We're forever grateful for the absolutely stellar work the Fremont team did for us. Every chance I get (and there are many!) I mention Ty the Dog Team to fellow dog parents. My dog's off leash recall (and overall obedience) is impressive to all who witness it. He's become the perfect dog and we couldn't have done it without Ty and his Fremont team. I HIGHLY recommend.
