We are thrilled with the training we received from Dan. Our Aussie was very nervous and scared of other dogs. It became unbearable with ongoing fence war with our neighbor’s dogs and difficulties on walks. After training with Dan we all gained confidence and no longer have the same issue intense issues. We just got back from a camping trip and it was so nice to be able to enjoy dog off leash with no issues. We highly recommend Dan!!!

Working with Dan was a lifesaver for us. Our Chesapeake Bay Retriever, Rex, was so out of control that I wasn’t able to be alone with him. We started with an evaluation where our 90 lb Rex tried to jump all over Dan. He wasn’t our first chessie but everything we tried that had worked with all our other dogs failed - Dan provided us with new techniques and loved on Rex. Rex now LOVES to be a good dog 🤣 and his transformation has been unbelievable! We highly recommend Dan!

There is a reason Dan has only 5 star reviews.

Meeting Dan was a delightful and absolute pleasure right from the start. His initial meeting with me and Jax, my Australian Shepherd-Siberian Husky mix, was not only free of charge but also incredibly informative. Being referred to Dan by a previous client turned out to be a blessing, especially given Jax's high prey drive, reactivity, and boundless energy.

My primary goal was to achieve off-leash walking with Jax, and Dan not only delivered on this but exceeded my expectations. The foundation of our training journey involved mastering the basics and understanding the effective use of an e-collar, which turned out to be a game changer. What truly set Dan apart was his unwavering support—whether through prompt responses to texts and calls or even offering to come over immediately when I felt overwhelmed.

During our second session, when Jax wasn't cooperating, Dan's ability to step in and encourage me to stay calm and relaxed was invaluable. This approach transformed our training dynamic, fostering the strongest bond I've ever had with my dog, a connection that continues to deepen over time. Dan's commitment goes beyond the norm, and I can't emphasize enough how highly I recommend him.

One standout quality of Dan is that he doesn't simply train your dog; he empowers you to train your dog. This approach not only strengthened my relationship with Jax but also made our daily training sessions something Jax eagerly anticipated. Another unique aspect of Dan's approach is that, with prior approval, he brings along his own dog to training sessions. This not only sets an example but also helps your dog learn to remain composed around other dogs—be it refraining from approaching, playing, or displaying aggression. Throughout these sessions, Dan is by your side, providing guidance and ensuring a positive learning experience for both you and your dog. By the third session, it became crystal clear to me that Dan is, without a doubt, the best dog trainer around.

I cannot say enough great things about Dan at Triumphant Canine! Working with him has given me so much confidence with my Belgian Malinois. Lilee is part of the family yet is incredibly well mannered & balanced! With having a dog of her breed I wanted to make sure she was protective of our family but also safe to have my kiddos around. She is all of that and so much more now. Being that she’s not even 8 months yet I can’t wait to see what she develops into with all the guidance we’ve received from Dan!

What can I say… Dan is the man. When looking for a trainer for our couple month old
Golden Retriever we met Dan and knew right away that his training methods were exactly what we were looking for. We moved forward with the course and could not have been happier with the results. Our now 7 month old Golden Retriever heels damn near perfectly, even off leash for the most part, thanks to Dan’s methods. She is more well behaved than all of our friends dogs, and she’s still a puppy. If you’re looking for a trainer who knows his stuff, look no further. Thanks for all your help Dan!

Dan is amazing with dogs! He took our Marlee, goofy, non-attentive goldendoodle puppy to a goofy, listening puppy. He not only taught her manners, but he taught us, as owners how to handle her and her personality without taking away her goofiness. She loves everyone and thinks each person wants to be her best friend. Dan taught us how to redirect her energy where people approach her in the correct timing. She now comes to our call, even when across a field. The first time this occurred, I was very reluctant that she would come. Dan reassured me and our training, and for sure, she came and sat beside me. I could not have been more proud of her and Dan! We have a puppy that will not run out of an open door, walk on a leash without pulling, and attentive to her commands. Each week he builds on past training material and reinforces lessons. He involves his dog to assist learning with distractions, which was very helpful with our goofy doodle. We could not have asked for a better trainer than Dan. You can tell he loves what he does, and we are so grateful to him!

Highly recommend working with Dan. I have an anxious rescue dog (Butterscotch) whose anxiety has turned into dog aggression at times, as well as pacing, clawing at floors and trouble sleeping. I’ve tried working with another trainer in the past and didn’t see much benefit. Butter responded to Dan’s training pretty much immediately and after his program she is 100 times more confident and calm. I can also feel a noticeable increase in our bond after the training. His method of getting the dog focused on the owners commands, while treating the dog with kindness and positive reinforcement, is extremely effective. On top of the training itself, Dan is very easy to work with on scheduling and just a nice guy to interact with. He is also very good at explaining dog psychology and the theory of his training. Even if your dog is relatively well behaved as it is, I think any dog could be happier and healthier with Dan’s training.

Bottom line, Dan is an incredible trainer and we cannot say enough good things or recommend him enough. Stop looking, call him now - you won’t regret it.

We started our training process with a 7 month old Bernedoodle who was stubborn and only listened when he wanted. He was pulley on a leash and we were terrified of him getting loose because we didn’t know if he would come back if we called him. After one session with Dan it was like we had a new dog on the leash. After two sessions, our neighbors and people we passed on walks were commenting on how well behaved our dog was. After four sessions, our dog didn’t need a leash on walks anymore. It’s a great feeling to be able to go on long walks and watch your pup run around and have fun and know that as soon as you give him a command he is going to listen.

Dan’s process teaches you as much as it teaches the dog. You’ll learn how to work with your dog so that you know how to practice with your dog in between sessions. The more you work, the better your results.
