Victoria worked with our older, dog-reactive dog. She worked with us on the fundamentals of loose-leash walking and park-in-place. She created a safe and controlled environment for our dog to practice being neutral around other dogs, particularly larger dogs and animated dogs. We were given homework throughout the week, which was more for us than for our pup. Doing the homework really pays off because we were able to keep up the progress and enabled us to get the most out of our training package. Victoria was able to mix things up from week-to-week, trying out our new skills in different environments. It's been so great to see our dog make good choices, and we are much more confident being our dog's advocate. She listened to our challenges and paid attention to our lifestyle to come up with realistic, achievable goals for our family. We are now comfortable taking our dog for trail walks and hang time at the breweries. I would highly recommend Traction, and Victoria specifically.

We worked with Victoria and she is incredible! Our dog has gained confidence and learned so much! It was almost like magic to watch a reactive, anxious dog learn to control his behavior and learn to co-exist in public places. Victoria is patient, kind & consistent. We’ve been working with Eric since our mini dachshund, Frankie, was 3 months old (now 9 months) and have seen such tremendous growth and improvement in his obedience! Eric is calm and patient and a great communicator when working with Frankie, and we see so much progress after every session! Eric is also great at communicating with us so we learn how to train and reinforce good habits — specifically as first time dog parents. Since we started, Frankie now loves his crate and place mat, his leash walk is so much better (were it was non-existent before), and we’re even able let him be out unsupervised in the house without worrying he will get in trouble! Highly recommend Traction Dog Training (and Eric)!

Victoria from Traction helped my dog Sunny go from being very reactive and trying to say hi to every person/dog to calm and confident on leash walks! I can’t believe the progress he made in two weeks and am excited to continue working with Victoria and Traction. Seriously the best training experience we’ve ever had, and Victoria is calm and confident, it’s been fun to learn from her! Would’ve never dreamt of taking him to a brewery/restaurant and after two weeks he rocked it! Also enjoyed our outings around Boulder - Traction made training fun!

Had a great experience. I went with Tina who trained my dog Stevie Nicks. Tina is kind. She is educated and my dog immediately loved her. I did the study abroad program. Tina’s home made me feel safe knowing Stevie is at a family home with a training field and lots of parks around. Stevie came back completely different. Her training is so much better than I imagined. Tina explains things in a great way and gives you plenty of stuff for reference.

our family has been trying to control two over 100 pound Newfie puppies. Eric has been great and teaching us how to get these two huge puppies to listen to us ! His approach is teaching us to be firm but loving and not only does he work with our puppies but he also spends time teaching and educating us! I’d highly recommend Eric!

I had a great experience with Traction Training. I have two big dogs that had some similar and some different training deficiencies. Eric helped me adjust how I approached training them according to their specific needs. His perspective and advice helped me learn to stay calm in situations that previously made me anxious. My dogs really took to him and were excited for their training sessions.

Tina Chaves is the best trainer I have ever worked with. So considerate and amazing with my dog! I have never found someone who could handle my dogs aggression and since working with her it is like i have a completely different dog! Can’t recommend her enough!
