I had such a great experience at Very Important Pet Salon. My cat, Riddle, is extremely prone to getting mats due to his long hair. My boyfriend and I have shaved his mats off before, but we aren’t professionals so he just had random shaved patches all over him. We started looking for a groomer and the few salons we tried would start the groom only to call 10 mins later saying Riddle cannot be groomed due to aggressive behavior. I was eventually recommended to Very Important Pet Salon by my dog’s groomer and was told they could handle more difficult cats. I made an appointment in advance through text and let them know about Riddle’s behavior so they had an idea beforehand. When I showed up for the appointment, Kobie and Jamie immediately started the groom. I watched the entire process and when Riddle started acting feisty, they knew exactly what to do and they comforted him the entire time. Also, the groom looked amazing. You can tell Kobie and Jamie really care about your pets and the quality of service they provide. Riddle is already in a better mood and strutting around the house with his new haircut. Kobie and Jamie, thank you for taking care of Riddle. You were both so good to him. I will be coming back for his next groom!

I was referred to Kobie by another groomer who felt that my cat was too difficult for her. What a gift!  In my twenty years of getting my Persian and Himalayan's groomed, I've finally met the best groomer ever.

Kobie truly is the cat whisper.  He and his assistant were fantastic with my kitty who came home a very happy girl with a beautiful summer buzz cut.

I super appreciated Kobie's thoughtless to schedule kitty's for early morning or end of day so they aren't surrounded by dogs.
The shop looks and smells wonderfully clean which was another indicator of goodness when I first arrived. The next indicator was Kobie's relaxed demeanor and his friendly staff.

I walked away completely thrilled with the whole experience and this morning awoke to Smoochie Kitty kisses.  If she had opposable thumbs she'd be taking endless selfies of her beautiful hair cut.   🙂

Wonderful groomer, there is nothing my dog hates more than groomers or vets and Kobie’s table side manner with her was awesome. Will definitely return next time I’m in town

The quality of grooming was actually very good. The business is just run very poorly. I reached out several times without response. I was looking elsewhere when they texted and said they had an appointment in 2 weeks at 12pm. We showed up and the groomer said our appointment was at 10. I showed him the text which confirmed we were 5 minutes early, not 2 hours late. He said he would be able to get her in and someone would call in 2-3 hours. My husband and I left, both feeling very weird vibes. We ran a few errands and came back after 3.5 hours. He was working on her and said it would be another 30 minutes. We waited 1.5 hours (now a 5hr groom). I went back inside and saw him turn the blower on. It startled my dog and she stepped off the table, but was still hanging from the collar on her neck. She climbed back up quickly, but it was very unsettling. I tried to get their attention to make sure she was okay. A second employee rolled his eyes and walked over to tell me they were almost done. I said my concern was with what I just witnessed. He laughed and said she was fine. I stood there for 10 minutes and watched them finish. The groomer said he was only about 80% done and wasn't sure what happened with the schedule because he never would have scheduled a dog like ours ahead of his regular at 1pm. We didn't say anything - we already established it wasn't our fault. Also, they don't take credit cards, only cash and check. Weird, but would have been good to know ahead of time. No problem though, we had 5 hours to go to the bank.

Kobie is great with the dogs and very reasonable. A little far but well worth the trip. I have an old English sheepdog and he has never recommended having to shave her. He would rather put in the patience and work and my dogs live him. Prices are better than the groomers around reunion. He always finds a way to fit your schedule.

Kobie is incredibly compassionate & a fantastic groomer. I’ve been bringing my dog to him since she was 12 weeks old; she legit gets excited to visit VIP. Highly recommended!

I had a great 1st experience with Kobie/ VIP! My German shepherd mix was long overdue for a grooming, setting up her appt. was hassle free, and Kobie was very helpful on the phone. I dropped her off with ease, and picked up my beautifully groomed dog 3hrs later. The pricing is very reasonable, and the staff definitely cares, and pays attention to detail! I'll be happy to take her back again. 😁
