I will respond since my wife and I were the ones who actually had the negative experience at this business today. My wife is an avid needlepointer and was so excited to make the trip from San Antonio to Comfort. She has been talking about going there for several weeks.

We entered the store while I carried our LITTLE 12 pound dog. He is very gentle and is not aggressive. With seconds of entering a man at the counter yelled, “we don’t allow dogs, we have cats”. There was no exchange of words and I was embarrassed to be treated so rudely in front of other customers.

I quickly walked outside and my wife stayed inside the store. She was never greeted and was completely ignored as a customer.

All that was needed was an apology rather than
avoiding the truth. We will not be returning!!!

Every single time I stop in, I am greeted warmly by both humans and cats. The inventory of yarn, fabric, fiber, thread, and all needed amenities are almost overwhelming. And yet it is arranged beautifully in the charming location. And every time I've gone, it's because I needed a less-common color of floss or help with choosing a fabric - and I am able to get every thing I need. I am so glad I work only 5 minutes away! I promise I'll be back!

Such an amazing yarn shop. It is charming and quaint with a huge selection of yarn, thread, and other fiber craft items. I may have overlooked them, but I would’ve liked to see more locally sourced, unique crochet hooks. I bought some cute needle minders and other notions. This shop made my entire weekend worth the drive. If you’re in the area and into fiber crafts, MAKE the trip here. I cannot get over how lovely the owners. The cats are an added bonus.

BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. My mom and dad walked in here with their small dog and were treated terrible. I understand many places don’t want dogs around but they were yelled at in a demeaning way. After the dog was put up, there was no hospitality, no question to ask if they could help. Bottom line treat your customers the way you want to be treated or don’t start a business at all. Also, it’d be smart to maybe put a sign up that says no dogs.

What a welcoming store! And so, so much to see. I was helped by Wendy. She knew her stuff. She checked on me several times. I told her I was a beginning cross stitcher, and she helped me pick a simple pattern I should actually complete. She suggested the proper material to cross stitch on (my eyes are not great), and quickly found the thread I needed. I will remember how welcome she made me feel.

What a treasure! It has everythinga needlecrafter of any type could want... And a pleasant, lovely home for it all and helpful, knowledgeable, friendly owners. It is packed, and yet you can still move around. There are piles of linen and baskets of patterns to examine alone, but help is around if needed. Well done!
