I cannot say enough good things about The Lodge! I own a reactive dog & from the very first phone call to set up a trial day, I have felt insanely comfortable leaving my girls in The Lodge's care. They have taken spectacular care of my girls & given them all of the one on one attention they need. I never thought a daycare setting was something my dogs would be able to do, but Harley & Dakota get so excited when we pull up & don't even care that I'm leaving them. & it's so nice bringing home exhausted dogs! Picture included of a post daycare snooze ?

*edited to add: The owner has since corroborated my statements by providing an example as to his character and business model in his response to my review.* So disappointed. We spent $5,000 to have our labradors trained shortly after our daughter was born. We dreamed of family walks with our dogs, sitting in the yard while our baby and dogs played.. Our dogs attended the board and train program for four weeks. Mid way through, we visited and viewed one of our dogs leash-training progress. We weren’t impressed but were assured it would get better. When we got our dogs back after four weeks, the first thing they did was jump on us and drag us to the car on their leashes. They were semi-trained with e collars, but are clearly more afraid of the shock than trained to not need the shock. My dog doesn’t even know how to “lay down.” We reached out to trainers, showed videos of how it was going at home, and were told that we could PAY and bring our dogs back up for more training. When we stated we weren’t happy with that agreement, he then started to tell us it was our fault, that we “were using the collars wrong.” He told us we were going to have to train them at home (I understand we would need to establish new boundaries and maintain their new skills, but TRAIN THEM- after we spent all that money?). We paid $5,000 that was saved for my maternity leave in order to benefit our family. We felt robbed. So disappointed. We did not get what we were promised prior to booking this service. Six months later and we are still sick to our stomachs over this experience and want to save someone else from making the same mistake.

Nothing but the best!! Cadron Ridge goes absolutely above and beyond for their dogs and their owners! We received frequent updates, impeccable advice, and the most well mannered, even tempered pup we’ve ever had! They continue to be a wealth of knowledge and take such great care of our boy, Angus, in their Daycare facilities!! Could not recommend a breeder or daycare more!! They make each day so fun for the pups in their care!! Art days, special treats, food puzzles!?! Heck I want to go myself!!

I have been needing to write this review for a long time. Trying to figure out how to write it has been the biggest problem because of all the great things The Lodge at Cadron Ridge does for my dog Scout and my family. I am going to break it down by each service they have provided for my dog. For reference Scout is a male yellow English Labrador retriever and is a year and seven months old at the time of writing this review. Scout has been receiving services from The Lodge for about a year.
Daycare – My perception of daycare for my dogs in the past has been negative. Some places just put your dog in a kennel all day until you come back to get them. This is not what I wanted for Scout. Scout, being a young Labrador needs lots of exercise and engagement. I work from home, but quickly realized that Scout needed more attention than what I could provide myself.
The Lodge provides a structured daycare plan. Scout gets to play with other dogs, engage in games, and is given attention by the staff that oversees all of his activities during the day. The staff enforces his training to ensure that he continues to develop and does not start any bad habits. He gets treats, walks, love, and attention from all of the staff.
What this has done for Scout has obviously been to help burn off all of his extra energy, but has also made him a better dog to have around home. He is noticeably better behaved when I have him around other dogs and meeting new people.
The pricing for daycare is very reasonable and well worth it. The number of activities and care provided by the staff is well worth the price paid and is invaluable to me. It’s like day camp for kids, but for dogs.
Grooming – Besides baths Scout does not require a lot of grooming however; they have a deshed service! I put an exclamation point on this because it saves me from drowning in fur at home. Scout is enrolled in their bath club. This means that he gets unlimited baths all month long. I never have a smelly or dirty dog. He can get a bath anytime I ask and once or twice a month I get the deshed service. This does not stop Scout from shedding, but greatly reduces the amount that he does shed. He always looks and feels great. They make sure that his ears are clean, nails trimmed, and check his general health every time he is bathed. Like I said before, this saves me from seeing fur tumbleweeds floating around my house and I don’t have to deal with clogged drains. While Scout does not mind baths, washing and drying a 90-pound puppy is not the easiest task. The Lodge solves all of these problems for me.
Boarding – Scout receives the same care at boarding as when he is at daycare. The Lodge has a limit on the number of dogs they board at any given time. They do not pack the house to capacity. This ensures that Scout receives the same care as if he was at home.
Training – I am not sure if I can say enough about the training that The Lodge provides. We sent Scout to the two-week board and train program last summer. We were going out of town for 10 days and needed to board him anyways. I figured we might as well give training a shot while he was there. Scout was about a year old at the time. I had conducted basic training with Scout, but was having difficulty getting him to stop bad habits.
Scout came back to us as a completely different dog as far as his behavior and manors. He took commands better and was sharper to do what was asked of him. This made him easer to control and more enjoyable to have around. In those two weeks he was so well trained that he was able to pass the AKC good citizenship tests and earn his badge. I no longer worry about Scout running off, jumping on people, or getting into trouble. The training program provided by The Lodge is completely humane and unlocks a part of your dog that you may not know exists. I cannot recommend this service enough.
In conclusion The Lodge at Cadron Ridge will treat your dog as if it was their own pet. They love all of the dogs. The money spent for their services is well worth it.

We moved into town recently and did not know where to bring our 9 year old puppers. They opened arm welcomed us, gave us great prices, and I gut trusted these wonderful owners with our girl! She has been back several times and is always clean and happy when we get her back at pick up! Highly recommend!!

Our dog, Sercy, gets excited when we ask her if she wants to go see her friends! She loves to play with the other dogs, and is carefully watched. She does not mind her baths and nails being done so gently.
We are glad that we have found a place with people we can trust with our baby!
