We LOVE the Dog Stop, Deerfield! We feel very confident that our Sunny gets the very best care from everyone there. An example from today: Sunny hadn’t been there for two weeks. When we got there he was shaking which he’s never done before. The caregiver got down on the floor with him to reassure Sunny things would be alright! Obviously Sunny was fine and enjoyed his time in playgroup. He’s a little reserved when in group, but they watch carefully for dog interactions at all times. All we have to do is ask Sunny”do you want to go visit your friends?” And he runs to the door and jumps in the car! Well done, Dog Stop! We also have been satisfied with their grooming service!

For our first time at the Dog Stop, I so appreciated the individual attention we received. Mark, who is a trainer there, talked with me about my 8 mo old puppy and helped us get her into the right play group. He also gave me a few training tips, which I greatly appreciated. At pickup time, Mark brought me back for a tour of their facilities, which is so helpful now as I imagine her at daycare. She had a great time too! She was so tired (in a good way) after her half day there. She is even mellowing out during walks, because she is already getting playtime with other doggies!

We’ve been bringing our dog to Dog Stop for a few years now and we are so happy with everyone here. Our dog gets excited to come to day care! We utilize the grooming services and we love Rachel. The entire team is attentive, friendly and wonderful!

Charlie loves playing with all of her dog friends (and the staff!) at day care at The Dog Stop. The staff is wonderful and treat her like a VIP. You can clearly see they love what they do. It’s nice they separate the dogs by size, and we also love the half day option. If your dog loves other dogs, they will love it here!

If I could give this place ZERO stars I would! It was probably the worst experience I have ever had with a doggie daycare. First, when I dropped my dog off, the person at the front desk seemed like he couldn't be bothered. I handed over my dogs records and let them know he was there for a behavioral evaluation for daycare (as they require this for all new pups). I let him know that he only really likes small females or non-dominant dogs and if those were not options, he could go into independent play. The guy that came out to get him seemed nice (at first) until I reiterated my dogs needs for playmates and I was met with "then why is he here for a behavioral evaluation if he doesn't like dogs?" Excuse me... He is indifferent about some dogs and others he takes issues with. No dog is PERFECT! I was able to see him once on video, seemed like he was having fun by himself, and then that was it. He was not seen again ... For an almost 8hour day. When I went to pick him up, the two people at the front (a girl in a beanie hat and a guy with red/pink hair) couldn't be less enthusiastic about their job or getting me my dog. I let them know his name and the male went to get him.... But he came back out with a different dog! I was like, that's not my dog, and he said "there are two dogs with this name here!" Why didn't you ask me what my last name was then? Or what my dog looked like? You just assumed you were going to bring me the right dog knowing there were two there with the same name?! He went back to get MY DOG and the girl said not one word to me ... Nothing about how my dog did, nada. When he was brought to me the guy handed him off and walked away! How was he? Did he behave.... Did he get to interact with any other dogs today? Absolutely not one word! Terrible. I will NEVER be bringing my dog back here and I will NEVER refer to this daycare. Terrible customer service and I have no idea if my dog even had a good day. Being in the veterinary industry, this is terribly unacceptable (as you should be making small talk with your clients) and should be ashamed to be a boarding/daycare facility. Abysmal 😢

My dog is always happy to go into dog stop. We are happy with the boarding along with some daycare. We use their grooming when we pick him up and it’s always great

The team is professional and caring. I appreciated the text reminders. They even went above and beyond to wash our dog’s bedding. Highly recommended!
