Jimmy is an outstanding trainer! Between myself and my family, he has trained 4 of our dogs. He recently trained my two dogs Jesse and Sloan, and they have come home extremely well trained. Thank you Jimmy for an amazing experience at The Crafty Pup! From day one Jimmy was thorough about his process of training a dog which ultimately led me to enroll in his puppy preschool and 4 week board and train. It was the hardest decision letting my 4 month old golden be gone for so long but so worth it because he came back so well behaved. He no longer bites, jumps, or barks which were all things I struggled with from day one as a puppy. Oliver loves practicing his down stays on walks together and overall is a much happier pup! Thank you Jimmy for training Oliver to be the best pup! I would highly recommend Jimmy to train your dog!

I don't normally post reviews, but this one was necessary. I enrolled my puppy in the 4 week board and train program and was happy I did. Jimmy listened to my needs and was able to correct all the un wanted behaviors and disobedience. From puppy biting to jumping and obedience. I appreciated his love for dogs and training. Mostly, how he demands doing things in the correct way . He wants the best for you and your dog . He even went out of his way to provide extra service. If you're looking for a good, trustworthy trainer, Jimmy is that. Him being reasonably priced is a plus as well

Jimmy is the best. We brought our 5 month old puppy to stay with him at Crafty Pup. He trained our little guy for three weeks. We were so impressed when we picked up our puppy. Jimmy starts with the very fundamental basics (Sit, stay, heel, etc) and progresses from there. Our lives are wildly improved because of Jimmy's training. He is very passionate about dog training, and our puppy loved training with him. We can't wait to continue working with Jimmy to make sure our puppy is well-trained. Could not recommend enough, either for a puppy like us or general training. Best in the Midwest!!

Heard about Jimmy and Crafty Pup from a friend who was extremely satisfied.I was hesitant about leaving my “shelter dog” for 3 weeks! Jimmy patiently explained the process, expectations and how he would initially train my dog and then train me. He communicated with me during my pups stay, he sent photos & videos of her progress and he follows up with at home training visit.
You dog returns home not just well behaved but also freshly bathed! Recommend

Highly recommend Jimmy at The Crafty Pup!! We heard about Jimmy from a friend that had used him multiple times to train her dog and had said great things about him. We had Jimmy board and train our highly energetic 11 month old golden retriever for three weeks. Our pup learned a lot in those 3 weeks and became better at heel, sit, stay, sit stay, down, down stay, and come. A major bonus is that our high energy dog had calmed down! When we picked up our dog, Jimmy showed my kids and I how to properly walk our dog and use verbal commands. He was so patient and kind with them. Since then, we have been enjoying going on family walks with our trained dog! Our now 15 month old dog is currently doing a one week refresher board and train with Jimmy. I love all the photos and videos Jimmy sends me updating me on how my dog is doing! My dog seems to really enjoy his time with Jimmy and you can tell that Jimmy loves being around the dogs!

I genuinely couldn’t be happier with how our dog, Birdie’s, training went with Jimmy from the Crafty Pup. She went in very naughty, refused to come when she was called, and was very reactive on leash. Jimmy has changed our lives. We have a very well-trained dog who fits right into our lives instead of causing us more stress. And I didn’t think it was possible, but we are more bonded than ever. Sending Birdie to Jimmy was truly the best money I’ve spent in a very long time. Cannot recommend Jimmy highly enough.

Jimmy was fantastic with our dog during his board and stay. We used to dread taking our dog for walks because of his constant pulling and barking at people and other dogs. Now, he walks calmly by our side, and when we tell him to sit and stay, he remains composed as people and dogs pass by. Our dog is learning to relax and find his calm, and we can't thank Jimmy enough for his help.
