My favorite local pet store. You will find the best dog's brand name foods. People are so kind and friendly, always very helpful. Open till late night so is a big plus. Also, they have a Vet coming few times a month at very low cost. The Vet is very nice.

It has everything. I no longer bother going to Petco or Petsmart. They have every product you can think of, from medicine to clothes for your furry pet. A vet comes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. The vaccines are cheap and reliable.

I came to buy a Cardboard Pet Carrier for our cat. The young lady assembled one for me. The next day we used the carrier to take our cat to the vet for his routine hydration treatment and while we were walking from the parking lot to the vet's clinic the bottom part of the carrier opened up and our cat was spilled out on the ground, confused and scared. Thank goodness I was able to pick him up right away. We asked for a tape at the vet's clinic so we can tape the bottom part of the box, and being careful bringing our cat back to the car to take him home by holding the bottom part of the box. Right that same day, we returned the box to the store, I told the older lady what happened and the first thing she can say is that "well, the box is not properly assembled". I told her that their sales person assembled it for me. Then she told us that there were already some returns of the box carrier due to the same incident we had. So I told her that they better stop selling that particular carrier to avoid a very bad experience to happen to others. I told her that I am still shaking due to what happened that we almost lost our cat because of their bad merchandise, and I don't want other pet owners experience what we've experienced because theirs might end up in a very tragic way. Then she proceeded to tell us her experience with another carrier they have that also opened and bunch of kittens spilled out from the carrier. My concern is number 1. The merchandise is dangerous to sell because it's poorly made . And number 2. This older lady have no empathy at all to our experience. All she can say right away is that the box is not assembled properly. Not even a little sympathy regarding our experience which could have been really bad if I wasn't able to pick up our cat right away. Then she tells us a story to top our experience
What a cold person to be working in a store that's supposed to take care of innocent animals.

Leaving a bad review for this store because they do the pet mobile services and some tall white guy told me I had to wait outside when the cement was very hot for my older dog. There was space in the store for me to wait but he said that I still had to wait outside. I get it but then maybe he should have a shade for people that have older dogs or offer a better solution and not just get angry that I am waiting inside. Not good customer service. I ended up leaving because I was not going to have my dog’s paws burn in the cement. No sympathy for dog owners but then they want you to spend your money there. Btw, this happened a while back but wanted to share this unpleasant experience.

AMAZING gem in the SF Valley! As an independent store with very caring staff, Tams is full of nutritious foods, wide range of supplies, & fun toys for your dogs & cats (some aquatic supplies too, although they don't carry live any live animals). I buy all of my cat stuff from here now & they're very affordable. Happy customer (& cat)! 😻

Wonderful pet food shop. The owners are informative and helpful if you don't know what kind of food you are looking for your pet. They also carry other things in the store like vests and leashes for ur pups, beds for pups, cat scratch houses, toys etc. Definitely worth checking out if you have a pet.
