Iv always had an amazing experience here the customer service & knowledge everyone has is beyond amazing & always helpful! This place has a large variety of reptiles, fish, and insects. The staff is very friendly. The guy that helped us let us touch and hold several different reptiles. If you’re in the market for reptiles, fish, or insects, check them out.

Super friendly. I was greeted as soon as I walked in. The salesman was super helpful and gladly answered my questions. I also was entertained by his turtle stories. My new fish seem to be acclimating quite well.

The classic Derby destination for alternative pets and supplies, off of Southwest Boulevard. I’ve brought home many reptiles from here and make the trip from Wichita for feeders whenever possible. The staff seems to be rejuvenated and has been friendly and helpful in my most recent visits, and I do find the knowledge of these shop employees here superior to most of what I get in Wichita. The selection of baby snakes is the best anyone will find in the area without going to a reptile show, and the pricing for animals and supplies is extremely competitive. This is a down to earth pet shop that I can confidently recommend to everyone.

Horrible husbandry. They keep their Axolotls on gravel which most people know can cause impaction and lead to fatality. When I purchased my axolotl I also purchased the rocks that were inside of her and they almost took her life.

One of the few pet stores that genuinely cares for their animals. I love coming in & feeding the pets 💕 I’ve adopted my adult leopard gecko from tails & scales and will only adopt from them moving forward. Steer away from petco / petsmart & towards this company instead if you want your animals to be in the best health possible.

I bought a red iguana Congo he was awesome just a baby when I got him. He was super tame cause I handled him right away. Fast forward 2years later and I was not able to care for him and I was devastated that I had to give him up. This place was here for me and made room to take him back in. They truly care for their 🦎 reptiles. If i ever can have another I will go back. Thank you Tails & Scales.
