We just completed training with Sarah. We are feeling more confident with our rescue dog and keeping her off leash with our training we received from Synergy. Sarah was exactly what we needed for our mini Aussie. She tailored our training to fit our specific needs and situation, and even did some trainings in our home. Our dog was having barking issues with guests in our home (which is common since we have a newborn) and she helped us come up with a plan and process for de-escalating him. The only question we asked ourselves after the training is why we didn’t do this sooner. We love training here!! I brought Nova for puppy training and it was a fantastic experience. The puppy pay time helped her get socialized with other dogs and get all her energy out so she could focus in class. Even with a good sized group I felt like I could receive any 1:1 help I needed. Annie taught the majority of our class and gave helpful tips when I struggled (turns out hotdogs and cheese are the key to everything). I've worked and spoken with Sarah and few times and it has been equally wonderful! She is very responsive and gives incredible insight and advice. I can't recommend Synergy Dog enough!!!

Our experience with Synergy has exceeded all expectations!

We contacted Synergy when we'd hit 'rock bottom' with our pack of three. Our dogs (two nearly 8 years old, one 16) were fighting with each other on a regular basis, barking incessantly at neighbors, and getting so wound up when people came over that it was easier to just not have company. We understood that we (the humans) were likely a large part of the problem and were carrying a lot of guilt about that on top of the day-to-day difficulties.

Sarah spoke with us on the phone and asked really insightful questions to get at the heart of what was going on. In less than 30 minutes, she was able to piece together our pack dynamics and determine that one of our dogs in particular was acting as the primary aggressor and should be the initial focus of training. She also gauged that we could accomplish what we needed to in four sessions, which turned out to be spot on.

We had two private sessions in-person at Synergy with the dog Sarah recommended focusing on initially, and then two more sessions at our home with all three dogs. Sarah was amazing. She was very attuned to our goals, and in addition to showing us specific techniques to target those, she also coached us on reorienting our overall dynamics within the home to set everyone up for success. Even though all the techniques Sarah showed us were safe, gentle, and positive for the dogs, she checked in with us along the way to make sure we were comfortable doing what she was asking us to do. Sarah's communication was both clear and kind; while she held both us and our dogs accountable, it always felt like she was on our side.

The ultimate success of this training effort will of course depend on our continued work with the pack, but after one month/four training sessions, we have seen a huge improvement. We are feeling much more comfortable and confident in our relationship with the dogs and have an improved sense of overall well-being as a result. Sarah went above and beyond in helping us, and we can't thank her enough. I highly recommend working with Synergy!
