I'm new to the area and brought my large breed dog in to treat for worms a few months ago. We had a good experience but was a little expensive. I called today to get my small breed dog nails trimmed, who is up to date on shots and but hasnt been seen there yet. Since my "2nd dog" isn't a established patient, they won't cut his nails without a comprehensive exam in addition. In my 40 years of owning pets, that was a first. Every vet I have seen has never hesitated to trim a dog's nails regardless of the situation. Sounds like a money grab, very disappointed in their many policies to have my pets be a patient at this clinic.

To start with sometimes as a pet owner when you take your pet in to the vets you feel upset or uncomfortable because your beloved pet is not feeling well or hurt.
Upon arrival the girls in the office try to grab as much of your money as they can. They are very eager to grab your card and charge it. Before your pet can be seen the head money grabber treats you very cold and tells you as she stares at you straight in the face and is shoving financial papers at you, I expect payment. Its very cold and not friendly at all. Hospitals dont even treat humans that way. Make sure you double check your bill before leaving because there is a very good chance you were over charged and no one even checks that you recieved what you paid for. I went there for years and the care of my pets was always good. It was always over the top expensive. But my last experience was to cold and to much of a serious money grabbin experience.
I will not be treated that way and will find another place to take my pets. Thak you!

Terrible experience. The vet didn't see that my cat was pregnant even when she had a big belly already. For a super fast (seconds) exam the charged a huge amount....super expensive place. I don't recommend this veterinary AT ALL.All about money, not about your pets. The vet seems to be a saleswoman....

We were a walk-in yesterday with our very sick little yorker. ALL of the staff was very friendly and Dr Jeff was awesome in explaining what was going on with her.
We have Jewels Senior Dog Rescue and 10 sweet seniors live with us. We will be switching to Surface Creek because they are knowledgeable, friendly and so wonderful at showing caring to our dog and respectfulness to us. Thank you!

I have been a client of Surface Creek Veterinary Center for a little over a year with my three dogs. The doctors are friendly, good at their work and they care about my dogs' health in a very professional way. Both of my girls have been spayed and the quality of the surgery has been great. Neither of them had any post operative pain and the incisions healed very cleanly and quickly.
The staff are kind and courteous while being pretty efficient with their work.
This is not a low budget operation and is rather expensive, but for the quality of the care I will highly recommend Surface Creek Veterinary Center. A+++
