Truly an awesome sanctuary where you can adopt some beautiful kittens that have been saved. Also some very wonderful adult cats that have been saved. If you adopt one of these kitties you will be giving them the life they deserve.

Adopted my baby boy from here ❤️ they are lovely people who work very hard to keep the animals happy healthy and ready for adoption. The prices are not crazy expensive like other possible adoption places. It is a drive for us (an hour and half to two hours) but it was completely worth it for the newest family member. They also neutered/spayed, vetted up to one year, and don’t approve of declawing. The cats are absolutely adorable and they post the adoption photos on Facebook so it’s very heartwarming to see the others being adopted as well. And since our cat is an one eye cat, they are taking extra steps to help us with our process like eye drops and check ups. Truly an exceptional place and would most likely adopt again from here.

This is the best experience I’ve ever had when adopting a pet. Everyone was so incredibly helpful and kind, and the whole process was so easy. They told us everything we needed to know before picking up our new baby boys, and the girl that was fostering them even brought them into the vet for us so we wouldn’t have to worry about it in the first couple months. My daughter takes therapeutic horseback riding lessons here. Such an amazing staff and so good for my daughter's muscles, emotions, and confidence.

The animal rescue that is also on site, takes such good care of the cats. They know each one's personality. Just love Sunrise!

My fiance and I were interested in one of the cats at this facility and put an application in the beginning of the year. After our vet was contacted by them we spoke to the application intake staff Mary regarding our application. We answered all her questions about our vet and animals and left it at that. She then spoke to our two friends who put good words in for us. Then twice within that past two weeks we were told all of our application notes were sent to the director Karen. We didn't hear anything and decided travel three hours to the shelter to visit the cat and figure out what was going on. We spoke to a staff (unnamed) who informed us that she spoke to Mary on the phone during our visit and was told by Mary she had unanswered questions regarding our vet. The staff went through those questions but they were the same questions we answered during our first and only call with Mary. When my fiance and I found out our application was never sent to Karen and we were lied to, it broke our hearts. I reached out to Mary to let her know we went to visit and found out she had been lying to us. She reached back and said no one lied to us, and put her bad work ethic and lies onto the volunteer for being misinformed. We withdrew our application and sad to say we are now discouraged to look for an animal due to our poor experience with Sunrise and the staff. I would recommend looking elsewhere than Sunrise.

The volunteers are extremely unprofessional. They have sent several harassing messages to me. I send monthly donations to River Valley Animal Rescue. It saddens me that they prey on private donors.

Karen, Sue, and Sarah have contacted me several times regarding donations of cat food. I have explained that I donate to River Valley Animal Rescue. They are rude and arrogant. I would never associate with this business!!

We went to Sunrise during working hours to look for a cat. Some gentleman we ran into told us that the woman that handles the cat shelter was at home and he gave us her phone number. When we called her she didn't answer the phone. So we drove all the way out there for nothing
