My border collie Eve and I had the best experience with Alex! I found Alex through a google search, and was attracted to his philosophy behind dog training. I was transitioning out of a life situation, and was nervous about ptsd symptoms resurfacing, and wanted to create a deeper connection between Eve and I. Alex held a safe, approachable, and knowledgeable environment for Eve and I to grow in. After completing the Psychiatric Service Dog classes, I feel like my relationship with Eve has grown tremendously, and I feel more connected to my own body. I couldn't recommend Alex enough! He is a K9 Wizard, and a an overall wonderful person to be around! Eve now comes everywhere with me, and truly increases my sense of safety.

Alex is amazing at what he does and he explains everything in great detail so you’re never wondering why you’re doing something. He is a great listener and advocate for not just your dog but also for yourself. His training has helped my dog and helped me to understand why my dog behaves the way she does. I would be seriously lost without his help and struggling with methods that don’t work at all. I cant say how much i appreciate Alex and his hard work. His partner is also amazing at scheduling and understanding time constraints! They’re both amazing people and you should definitely invest in his training programs!

Even being an experienced dog owner and foster dog parent, after bringing home our new puppy I was looking for a trainer who could help keep me accountable and on track with training given our busy lives. After searching, interviewing, and even trialing multiple trainers it seemed like I was stuck with two choices - very negative reinforcement techniques including the use of e-collars that essentially asked me to dominate my puppy at all times without a thought to their own emotional development or positive reinforcement options that while felt better seemed both incredibly slow and also required a mountain of treats to be effective.

I was about to give up until I found Alex and within one conversation I could tell that his approach was not only going to feel better to me but be effective while helping me build a literal strong bond with my growing puppy. That's not to say the process didn't involve commitment, introspection, and work on my part but the results have been so worth it. When out and about people are constantly surprised to find out that my dog is still a growing puppy and I hear so many "but he's so well behaved!"s and "how did you get him to be so calm?" While Alex and I didn't specifically focus or train towards the testing, in the time we were working together my dog breezed through his Canine Good Citizen testing and we plan to have him continue with Alex into therapy dog training.

I truly can't recommend Alex enough if you're looking to build a thoughtful, kind, communicative, and effective relationship with your dog. Both you and your dog will be better for it.

Highly recommend Strong Bond Dog Training! Alex is an amazing trainer! He truly cares about both the dog and human’s success! He gets to the bottom of “problem” areas and improves the source rather than tries to quick fix things for the short term. I am so happy with the progress Daisy and I have both made throughout training with Alex! My bond with my pup continues to strengthen and I couldn't be more thankful!

Alex and Christine are phenomenal dog trainers and great people to work with. I came to them with a challenging dog and a lot of uncertainty for the future of her training and our ability to work effectively as a team. Working closely with Alex and Christine they helped me gain a much deeper understanding and appreciation for relationship based training. Wether it was working on a particular training goal or just trying to understand how my dog may be perceiving a new challenge or experience, Alex always had the ability to patiently break down and develop a plan to guide us towards the next goal. With the help of Strong Bond Training I have developed an amazing relationship with my dog where every challenge and ambition we have as a team can be and so far has been met. I went from having little experience and confidence with my own dog to becoming an effective pack leader, handler and trainer myself all while accomplishing goals and achievements with my dog and building a stronger bonded relationship! If you are willing to learn, listen and put the time in to practice what you are taught at strong bond training the results are amazing.

My partner and I have an 11 month old puppy and we took him to Alex for 6 sessions and learned SO MUCH about raising a dog. We loved Alex’s philosophy when it came to training and see so much amazing improvement in our dog Atlas. I highly recommend Alex as a trainer!

I had been having trouble effectively communicating with my dachshund for some time. He loved to ignore me, and I loved to get anxious and frustrated. Exhausted from our dynamic, I found Alex via Strong Bond Dog Pack. I started with the one hour consultation, and Alex throughly explained his background and approach as a dog trainer. Hopeful in his holistic approach, I signed up for the 6 week course. During those 6 weeks, I learned to listen to and communicate with my dog, getting to a place where I think we both have gained trust and confidence in each other. I will say, I had tried training with a different trainer before and I was basically given no tools or insight, other than the suggestion for an E-collar. Alex takes the time to get to know your dog, and you, and gives you the tools to make you both successful. In summary, I am happy with my experience and would definitely use Strong Bond Dog Pack again if needed!
