The sled was so much fun. It worked beautifully. Fabulous customer service. They'll explain how to use it. Love that they recycle their wax. I reserved a week ahead of time and they let me pick up the evening before our reservation so we could board as soon as we got up in the morning before it got too hot because we visited in July when the sand is usually at its hottest.

This is a super convenient place to pick up a sandboard for Great Sand Dunes! It’s located right before the main road to the park, about 20 minutes out. The staff is friendly and informative. They make sure you know what you are doing while sledding and provide wax for your board. Pick up and drop off were easy. Prices were good too. I highly recommend grabbing a board before your visit to the dunes!

Krystal was awesome! Me and my friends showed up 30 mins before they closed and she still let us rent sleds and goggles, with the option of late return. Sledding in the dunes was so much fun! I would definitely be coming back here when we come to visit colorado again!! Thank you Krystal 💜

Can’t say enough great things about this place. Amy greeted us with positive and incredible energy as soon as we walked in the door. Not only did she help us understand how to get going (as we had no experience with boarding), but she gave us insight for how to get the best speed, how to wipe out properly- everything to go to the dunes and have a wonderful time.

Yeah, you can get rentals closer to the park, but with this shop only being 20 minutes away from the dunes, it is very worth it. Support the smaller businesses, and meet one of the best shop owners ever while you’re at it. 100% recommend the SpinDrift SandBoards to everyone!

Just about a 20 min drive from the park, got our boards quickly with a short intro and advice on usage. Boards were tons of fun (as always) and the price is reasonable. We went in mid-October and they were open right at 8am, we returned the sleds around 3pm. No lines or waiting on either end. Shop owner is super sweet and knowledgeable. Thanks for adding joy to our day!! 😊

The Fun Maker aka Amy the owner was AWESOME!!! She was really good at explaining how to use the boards and what to do to both my 10 year old and 6 year old. She was very professional and knowledgeable not only about the sport but the park. We were thrilled we choose to drive a little out of our way to get to SpinDrift. All the other board rental shops including the one in the park had some pretty bad reviews except for SpinDrift and I clearly know why. I highly recommend SpinDrift and I assure you that the quality of the boards and Amy’s assistance will blow your expectations…
