I will not eat here again! Until last night, my friend and I have enjoyed our Philly cheese steak sandwiches, tater tots, drinks, and a pleasant atmosphere, inside or patio dining, for almost eight years. We, in fact, called this little restaurant “our place.” Not anymore.

Everything was acceptable on the night of Wednesday, 11-20-24, until about 8:20pm. Even though their stated hours show they close at 9pm, the male workers turned the dining room lights off on us. I couldn’t believe it. No talking with us to let us know what was going on, simply passive-aggressive behavior trying to get us to leave so they could continue their cleaning. I talked to one of the workers. No apology. He simply replied: “I wasn’t being passive aggressive. I’m just on a schedule.” I told him the situation would’ve been better if he just had talked to us. No comment. I then asked to use the bathroom. He replied: “No, it’s closed.” Actually, the barriers to the bathrooms were in place by 7:10pm when we arrived. I initially thought they just would move them when and if one of us needed to use the facilities. No. They did not. Again, this restaurant was open until 9pm, in theory. I was headed home after supper (19 miles away from South Philly) and definitely would not have had a refill of my soda if I’d known the restrooms were closed (not due to a problem, simply due to the two men cleaning early and then refusing to allow paying customers to use them).

No signs were placed on the bathroom barrier nor were there any signs on the entry door stating that the dining room closed at an earlier time. When we left at 8:45pm, they locked the door behind us. I am highly disappointed in that poor customer service, because of all the years my friend and I have enjoyed our gatherings there. If they want to stay in business, I encourage them to change their ways. Nothing, though, will entice me to return—our treatment was that awful.

*I DO NOT RECOMMEND EATING HERE* This is my first time coming here.. I order the (Loaded basket of fries with cheese and steak) and paid exactly $10.61 . As you can see in the pictures the steak was not in the fries … in between the fries… under the fries…. Nothing . So I had to go back inside to ask for the (loaded portion of it) which is the meat. And the second picture is showing how little of an amount he gave me….. this is why I hate going to new establishments they can careless about the new customers but any customers in general… To pay $10 and this is what I got… what a joke …

*Meat not cooked to order*. I watched them stirring a huge pot of pre cooked meat. I sat in perfect view of the grill and at no point did she pull out raw meat and cook it while I was there.

I got a regular Philly and cheese fries which came out suspiciously fast. I ate it in the parking lot (attempted to eat) and everything was soggy.
The meat had a grayish brown juice soaking in the bread that looked like poorly made hamburger helper juice. I forced down 3 fries and 1/3 of the sandwich before I gave up and accepted that I just lost 20$ to learn not to eat there.

I was hoping for it to be good since the only other Philly cheesesteak place I usually go to is in Denver but it looks like I’m gonna have to keep making that trip to get quality food.

Do not order from here!! This is probably the absolute worst order ive ever gotten from somewhere. Deserves a 0 star. The phillys were tiny and had no cheese. I even ordered mine (paid extra) with extra cheese and it still had none. This is trash and a huge waste of money. And I spent almost $50 on 2 phillys that were the size of a hotdog.

The service is always top notch here. Super friendly and the food is always hot. Just look at that steam coming off my Philly!

One of my favorite Philly places of all time. The green chili Philly is always a good choice and their fries are a great pairing with it.

They have a quality cheesesteak, but a good sized menu if you are looking for something else. Friendly staff, both indoor and outdoor seating. If you have the urge, it’s worth a stop.

Amazing food amazing customer service. The sandwiches are absolutely delectable. Whenever I am in the area I stop in. I also mention this place anytime anyone talks about the hampden or south broadway area. Fresh cut fries, the Rueben was thinly sliced, the marble rye was excellent and the corned beef was deli-style no fat. 👌

My sandwich was excellent the italian panini. Even the soda machine is great as they have strawberry cherry and vanilla to top off your drink. Me and my wife love this place thank you for the great vibes!!
