Went to the Solomon Park in Wartburg a few weeks ago for a Birthday party near the Playground. The Park is beautiful, there is a walking trial, a Playground and a Ball field. The time I was there at Solomon Park, the views were Beautiful, the walking trail goes through a Wooded area where the sights of nature rein. I am looking forward to the next event that takes me there.

Stopped here to pick up my packet for my race and the views were awesome! The park area was super clean and nice to see people bringing their kids to enjoy the playground and picnic areas.

It’s been dangerous walking there lately.
I’ve meet dogs outta leach twice this week (in the morning), with no humans around the dogs. Maybe they belong to the neighbors, who should be more careful about their dogs and respecting people that like to be exercising at the park.
We never know the dog temper. Unfortunately, I had to step back.

What once was a very promising park has now turned into an empty shell. The walking trail is nice and paved which is great when it is wet out. The park as far as a child is concerned is useless. The playground has fallen apart and no repairs have been made. They just tend to block everything off til they eventually pull it. There is no longer a merry go round, gazebo, disk golf, volleyball court, or even a play ground left that you can safely play on. The 1 and only thing that has managed to hold up is a seesaw and 1 or two swings that can be used at your own risk.

The entrance to the Community Center is the first entrance right before/beside Schubert funeral home on the right, the other side would be the first left after passing the funeral home, it's like a gravel road, you'll see a park at the end, you make a right up the hill and the Community Center is on top of the hill. 132 Carter Street is the address for the Community Center. Great Community Center! Easy parking and handicap parking. The concession is great and the bathrooms are okay.

They never fix anything and it has fallen apart. Nothing is safe for little ones to even play on anymore. The walking trail is really nice and paved. It winds through the woods and makes for a beautiful walk.
