I've been taking my mini Aussie Miley here for a few years and have always experienced top notch service! I took our newer pup Moose in today (who is a Great Bernese) and has never been groomed and he came back looking like a completely different dog. Their skill at handling him was impeccable (he does not like being bathed or brushed) and they got the job done, beyond our hopes and expectations! Thank you ladies for taking our animals and making them shine, they're absolutely gorgeous!

Took my chihuahua there to get a haircut. I am very happy with how well they did. They were even able to trim his nails which I know was very hard with Paco. They made me feel really comfortable leaving him there. What really impressed me the most, was how much personal attention they gave to Paco. They even completed his haircut with a bow! 10/10 I will be back. Very reasonably priced to! They only charged me $50 for trim, nails, bath and glands!

ONCE AGAIN 10/10! I’m adding reliable to the review because twice now Lisa has done a fabulous job on Paco. He looks like he’s ready for church! I just can’t get over how cute the haircuts are. I know 100% she takes good care of the animals because Paco was super calm when I came to pick him up and he’s not usually like that. Lisa does such a good job I will forever come back!! Thank you Lisa for being a dog groomer I can trust! 🐶🐕🦮🐩🐕‍🦺

Addition for 2023, always does such a great job and this year he came out soooo stinking cute. Will never understand the bad reviews on here. Maybe it's a dog owner issue 🤷‍♂️

I’ve had Miniature Schnauzers since I was 15 yrs old. As an adult with my own Schnauzers, I had the same groomer for 17 years while living in Phoenix. Our Woody (the Schnauzer) is not an easy dog to groom. We rescued him and he was so was so nervous and scared of everything. With a lot of patience and adopting Rocket from the pound for companionship, He has come leaps and bounds in the past 3 years! However, going to the groomer was still terrifying for him. My husband and I moved to Mancos Co from Phoenix this past July 2020 and you could say, the thought of having to find a new groomer for Woody was a daunting and terrifying task. Honestly, I was so scared of a groomer being mean and getting frustrated with him. I had heard about Snootys from a stranger at the Farmers Market in Dolores, Co. I took a leap of faith and took them in. I had told them My concerns about woody prior to coming in. Jayne took him from my arms (which is a huge thing) and just held him. He was shaking at first but settled down shortly. Her energy with dogs is amazing! They took their time with him moving slowly with the clippers and didn’t rush him. As for Rocket, I was nervous a groomer would cut the hair off his ears. (It’s happened) They take forever to grow and I think they are so adorable. They genuinely listened to all my requests and concerns with both dogs. when I picked them up, I was ELATED!!! Woody was really calm and they did the BEST Schnauzer cut I’ve ever had on any of my Schnauzers in the past. Rockets cut was also fantastic and they didn’t cut his ear tufts off! They blended in with his fantastic haircut. I could not recommend Snootys enough. I’m so grateful to have found them and they now have 2 new customers for the rest of their lives which hopefully is a really long time!

I have been going to Snooty's for approx. 15 years with my 2 very small dogs. 1 was a very grouchy Maltese named Popcorn. Jane and her staff handled her with much care and love. She was white and always looked her best thanks to them. The other is a miniature Shitzu named Mo. He's about 14 but has aged much faster than we would like and absolutely hates his feet touched. Jane and her staff take their time, make him comfortable and feel at home. Now my grown children take their pets to Snooty's. We are all so grateful for the entire team and Jane. I can't imagine taking our pets anywhere else!

Absolutely the BEST in Cortez!! My Bella is absolutely gorgeous and Zeus is so handsome, they should be in movies!
Bella isn’t always easy but Snooty’s always keeps her happy and gorgeous!!!
Zeus is a mix breed of chow and shepherd, not always an easy mix easy to groom.
My babies always come home dancing and happy!!

I took my 14 year old Maltese in for an "appointment" yesterday at noon. They kept him until 5 pm because she got a 'little behind'. He hates being crated and is very vocal about it. One thing that stands out thinking back is how quiet the place is. Now I am wondering how they keep the dogs in queue from barking. When we got home he went right to his water dish and as he stood there drinking he peed all over the floor even though he went for a long time outside before we came in. This was his last grooming before seeing the vet for a quality of life check, probably resulting in a trip over the rainbow bridge. It breaks my heart to think of how horrible it was for him. I wouldn't recommend this business to anybody who actually cares about their dogs well being.
