SIT Service Dogs is great for service dogs. I received a Seizure Response dog named Loki, and I could not be happier. The dogs are truly trained to a professional level. When you go out into public, you will realize extremely quickly why it's so important to have the best-behaved dog, and how much easier that will make your life.

The skill training is done very well, but the obedience training is also to a much greater extent than most people would be able to do on their own or even with another professional trainer. I can go to a restaurant and have Loki sit under the table for an hour without even worrying about him getting up. I can go up and down steps, walk him down the road, etc. and he'll be step-for-step right by my side with the perfect heel. Loki makes my life easier and safer.

SIT Service Dogs will also maintain contact with you throughout the entire process. They will get you necessary documents quickly when asked. They will train you on how to take care of your dog. They will maintain a professional relationship with you post-delivery and work through anything that may come up. In the end, though, you have to remember that you are the dog's owner. It will be up to you to take care of the dog and maintain the dog's skills long-term.

From March 2020
Very poor service. Several of the sessions were canceled with little or no notice. When the Covid shutdown began we were understandably unable to continue. However, refunds were not given and we were to continue when the restrictions cleared.

After the Covid restrictions were lifted I received no phone calls from SIT. I tried to call many times and left several messages but they were not returned.

This training was paid for with public school funds as part of a new program in our building. When a fellow teacher of mine was able to reach them(i was being ignored), they lied and said I was not attending trainings and would not be able to continue.

No money was refunded to the school, and I was never notified or even given a return call.

Lex and Danny as well as the other staff at S.I.T. do an exceptional job at caring for and training these dogs. They also work tirelessly to advocate for service dogs and their handlers. They will do everything they possibly can to meet their clients’ needs. They put so much time and effort into each of the dogs, and it is all worth it when that dog meets their forever person. These dogs provide peace of mind and that is invaluable.
S.I.T. has also provided countless students at Southern Illinois University with life skills as well as a community of people who truly care and are always there if you need them. This is a remarkable organization that I highly recommend.

Lex and Danny have helped shape such a wonderful and safe space in the community for Sit service dogs and as a trainer there I can say this is a program that I not only trust but am very happy to be a part of. SIT is an incredible organization! Their staff is second to none, they truly care about their animals, and they work tirelessly to advocate and do what their clients need. In addition to their incredible work as a business, Lex and Danny are also staples in the Southern Illinois community. What they have done for SIU and its students is incredible. By working with an RSO on campus, they give these students a way to learn valuable life skills while also helping people with disabilities. Without Lex and Danny's constant support, many of these students would not have a support system or would not have the skills or confidence to advocate for themselves.
