I can’t say enough great things about Sit Means Sit and Donovan, our amazing dog trainer. I have a stubborn large breed dog who, while sweet, needed a lot of guidance to become the best version of herself. From day one, Donovan treated her with so much love and respect, while helping her grow into the well-behaved protector our family needed.

Not only has my dog learned how to safely interact with my young children, but she’s also become more confident and calm in every situation. Donovan’s patience, reassurance, and willingness to help every step of the way made all the difference. He went above and beyond to ensure we felt supported and understood throughout the training process.

Thanks to Sit Means Sit and Donovan, our dog is not only thriving but is now a loving and safe companion to our kids. If you’re looking for a trainer who truly cares about you and your dog, I highly recommend Donovan!

We reached out to Sit Means Sit to get some additional training for our dog Ellie. We got matched up with Donovan, who was the best trainer and fit for Ellie. Donovan was extremely patient with Ellie, she is a husky mix with a lot of anxiety (a tough combination), and he was able to get her to trust him after spending a couple of sessions together.
After each session Donovan made sure we understood the commands that were taught that day, and did an excellent job of explaining what was expected of us at home to make this a success. We have seen such a difference in Ellie, and we would definitely recommend Donovan and the Sit Means Sit program.
Ellie has ā€œplaceā€ down and loves to show off while we are out on walks.

I will recommend sit means sit to everyone! Evan and Tessa were a huge help! Most importantly, jimmy, the owner, was an absolute life saver.Jimmy’s passion for training is truly remarkable. His reputation speaks for himself. Not only does he care about your dog, but he cares about YOU.

Sit Means Sit is dedicated to excellence and providing you with the perfect pet. Sit Means Sit has given us a new life! Our dog, Bauer, was so bad we had to isolate him in a play pin for the first 3 months we had him. It broke our hearts not being able to cuddle, love, and spend time with our dog. Fast forward to today, we have all those things and much more!

If you guys are looking for a great training center I swear by this place. Our dog graduated today and we now have a dog we can enjoy and make lasting memories with. Thank you jimmy and the sit means sit team! We are forever grateful for you guys.

Jimmy and staff are absolutely the best. Our mini Schnauzer would get so excited when we would go out with her on a walk or anywhere in public, she would bark so loud, to the point where she sounded like she was being stabbed, and the looks we would get were awful. We called Sit Means Sit, went in met with Jimmy and his wonderful staff, and today our girl Sadie graduates šŸŽ“, she goes to Cabelas, Home Depot or wherever we want to take her now. I can't say enough about how wonderful they all are or enough thank yous, but THANK YOU!
Joe Cummings, Annette Brown & of course Sadie.

We had a fantastic experience with Sit Means Sit for our newly adopted shelter mutt Crockpot. After always raising dogs from pups, this was our first adult adoption and we felt ill-equipped to deal with his leash pulling, selective listening and and likely new name loving bestowed upon him by the shelter. Just a few weeks after adoption we started training with sit means sit. Now just two months after adoption date, we can now take Crockpot on walks with ease, he's well-behaved most of the time, and, most importantly, my partner and I now have the tools we feel we need to really build a relationship and trusting bond with our new family member. We feel more in control of unpredictable situations as we all continue to learn about each other. I loved the ability to reach out to my training team for clarification on homework, help when something didn't go as planned or just encouragement when I got frustrated with the process. I would absolutely recommend these guys to anyone looking for dog training, and will absolutely come back with all future adoptions.

My baby Mo, was my first dog/son. Who I got during Covid. As a puppy he had a lot of anxiety, separation anxiety when I would leave him. It progressed to where he didn’t like people. My aunties called him ankle biter and he became more aggressive to humans, where I isolate him From any ā€œstranger dangerā€ human reaction because he has nipped and tried to attack so many of my family and friends. I accepted he was just a broken dog, and I become hostage to only let him interact with 5 humans he felt safe with. It took Mo three years for him to accept @thesam.lee. He use to spray the walls with poop because he was so scared of Sam and just hide in his crate and shake when I left him home alone with Sam.. it was hard because Mo was so unpredictable when he would get aggressive.. he broke my trust and heart so many times when I thought he would get better, we would actually take ten steps back when he would be aggressive to my friends.. we decided we had to do something… We met Donovan at @sitmeanssitsouthdenver and he gave me hope again and told me, ā€œMo is not broken. I can fix him. You have a hard case in hand because he is unpredictable but we can and will change his behaviorā€. I came to terms a long time ago and accepted Mo will be like this forever, but Donovan gave me hope again that we wouldn’t have to be hostage to Mo. 7 weeks of intense classes, training, frustration, homework, and tears.. Mo behavior has changed because we started to show him who is in control, and Mo learned he doesn’t need to be my protector that his parents will protect him. We know we still have a long road ahead of us, but we have the tools now to keep practicing and training me and introducing him to ā€œscary peopleā€. We are so grateful for Donovan and Sit means sit who changed our lives. He helped build Mo confidence and is officially Mo first human friend outside immediate family. We are extremely grateful for sit means sit and especially Donovan and his brother Evan for giving us our life back. HAPPY TEARS I NEVER WOULD Have THOUGHT MO WOULD GRADUATE WITH HIS DOGOLOGY DEGREE!

Donovan is amazing! We recently got a very large breed puppy and wanted to get his foundation down before he tripled in size. After the 5 week course my 4.5 month old puppy sits stays places and walks loose leash. Donovan was patient and met our puppy at his needs and levels. Would highly recommend!

I don't usually leave reviews but this was worth it. Our trainer Tessa helped me turn my husky shepherd from a crazy head into a well behaved dog that everyone loves. It's important to note that your results will depend on how you (the owner) follow up each week at home. If you're willing to be consistent the results will come. Training isn't easy but they will give you the tools you need to succeed. The stress before training vs after is night and day and I'm am more confident in my dog's ability to listen and respond.

Highly recommend Tessa, her communication and ability to read dog behaviors is amazing. I felt confident leaving my dog with her knowing she was in good hands
