Dr. Fouse is an incredible Veterinarian who really cares for our babies and has been kind to call us after hours to check on one of our babies when she was sick. I'm always grateful for her knowledge and expertise. She always knows us and our babies as does Shannon. Shannon is also amazing and I don't know what we would do without her.....she loves our babies, too. I'm so glad someone referred me to Dr. Fouse because she is exactly who I needed versus a prior experience with another Vet. I can't speak highly enough. Thank you!

Called hoping to get my cat fixed with my critter care voucher. Shannon was evil. I believe bc i was using a low income voucher. I ended up asking her why she her customer service was so rude, she then told me she wouldn't fix my cat. I called my friend upset, and she told me she used to go there but Shannon treated her badly too so she stopped. Somehow this woman is the manager is insane. Would never ever recommend. Awful person. Awful place if they allow her to mange it.

We took our dachshund-corgi mix to Dr. Fouse when we first brought her home for a check up and to get the remaining shots she needed. Our dog is very excitable and vocal but she took so nicely to the Dr and her assistant. The appointment was over in no time at all and the price was around what I expected. Our dog was spayed by the same vet and they took great care of her. They have always been willing to answer my questions when I call for whatever reason. They talked us into starting our dog on the food they recommend and sell in house. She loves it, it is produced in state and is healthy. I highly recommend Shawnee Animal Hospital. Their staff is great and friendly, people that you can chat with if time allows.

Shirley, the vet at Shawnee Animal Clinic is wonderful, she can spot a hernia on a cat without an x-ray. She's also an excellent surgeon who's been doing surgery on dogs and cats for many years I trust her completely! Her prices are more affordable than a lot of vets I've been to, I've been to cheaper vets too, but they're not always the best choice, because they're overwhelmed with patients and miss a lot of important things.

I usually don’t write reviews, but after this experience this warrants one. Our 11 year old cat is pretty spicy with leaving the house, which we informed them on our first visit months ago. We visited originally as he had refused to eat his food and was extremely lethargic. Vet determined they were just a bit dehydrated after blood work. Second visit we got vaccinated for the year and discussed they were still going through bouts of throwing up and refusing to eat. Turns out he needed a new food without salmon as that was the root of the issue I discovered after switching food. They chalked it up to him needing to eat the royal canine brand ( he refuses) and that he needed his teeth cleaned. During this visit we also mentioned we gave him gabapentin this time from a previous vet so he’d be calmer. He was still mildly spicy but less so. We scheduled for a dental cleaning and followed the very minimal instructions. Since it didn’t mention to give him the gabapentin, we didn’t. When we dropped him off in the morning, he was stressed as he was hungry and no calming drugs. I get a call in the afternoon, saying he’s doing great but since he was stressed this morning they were unable to administer the dental cleaning and we’d need to reschedule. They had stressed my cat out so much when we immediately came to get him, he hissed and growled at us for hours which he has never done before. While they did clean his carrier as he peed and pooper on himself, he still sat in that all day being stressed because they just got around to calling me in the afternoon. He spent the rest of the night cleaning himself as he wouldn’t let me near him to help.
While I understand they were just doing their job, to me it seems like they dont know how to handle cats who are scared, who then turn aggressive and don’t listen to their clients to then provide accurate instructions. If you have an anxious or spicy cat, do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

They are VERY rude!!! They judge you the second you walk in and talk to you as if you don’t know anything! They do not make you feel welcomed!
