I have now gone here to purchase feeders, terrarium decor, substrate, cleaner insects, a frog, and 3 tarantulas. All the animals have been healthy and are still thriving. The employees are kind and helpful. I can whole-heartedly recommend this store to people.

Sam was friendly and knowledgeable and patient and set me up real nicely, but I was sold a bad product, and they don't accept returns, so I am out $250...ugh. tentative to buy again if it's expensive.

Have visited this scale's n tails several times and everytime the staff is super knowledgeable and helpful. They have a huge selection of healthy critters and some of rarer species that are usually harder to find

Just picked up a young beaded dragon from Scales and Tails! Both staff members working were knowledgeable, friendly and happy to offer advice to me as a first time owner of a beardie. I've done plenty of research and everything they suggested was in-line with what I had discovered. I was happy with my purchase and the beardie that I brought home immediately took to eating dubia roaches and basking. My gratitude to employees "Sam" and "Tino". Thank you both!

Best feeder crickets available. They actually feed their crickets veggies so they are nice and plump and full of nutrients for your critters. I got all but one of my tarantulas so far from the various Scale n Tails in Colorado and haven't lost one yet. They take great care of all the animals they sell. The employees all seem to love working there and talking about the animals. Love this store!

My daughter begged us for a bearded dragon for years but I didn’t really consider myself a reptile person. After visiting Scales N Tails several times we decided to make her reptile dreams come true. Elijah spent a ton of time with us answering allllll my questions, showing us what we needed (we bought some really cool branches for his tank, too) and patiently let my daughter hold several bearded dragons until she bonded with one and named him Meatloaf. We have all fallen in love with our little Meatloaf and he is super healthy and thriving. I have even found the courage to feed him dubia roaches (after being initially freaked out) and will only buy them from Scales N Tails. Thank you Elijah for all your help with Meatloaf! Went in to buy fruit flies as a first time customer. Called first and told price was $12.41. Got to register and told $12.41. I already had my credit card out and promptly placed it on the screen for tap payment. Underneath my credit card a "tip" screen popped up and since my card was already there, it added a 20% tip. When I asked why it was $2.48, he said I guess it added a tip, which I told him to cancel. He said he couldn't and handed me the receipt. After calling someone else, he offered me a worm! I have frogs and don't need a worm I told him. Nothing he can do without the owner. I asked for the owners phone number, but he told me I have to wait until Monday, 5 days from now. So I ended paying almost $15 for what looks to be 15-20 fruit flies. I'll never go to this store again.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. This location has a good range of supplies and critters. We go there one to twice a week for all of our leopard gecko needs.
