Just received our second puppy from SATA Kennels. They are both wonderful dogs. Jock is now nearly 2 and Natty is 2 1/2 months old. We have had Boerboels before in South Africa and England and these two are the best breeding we have seen.

Sara is absolutely amazing. Sara along with her husband, are some of the most knowledgeable breeders I’ve ever came across.

We got ourselves a Boerboel and he ended up getting hurt. YES HE HAS INSURANCE! BUT AFTER 2 TRIPS TO THE EMERGENCY VET at the MedVet SLC Utah clinic. Not only did they take an absolute eternity just to give us some antibiotics, but just the first bill was $1,300.. but shortly after being discharged. I had to return cause he wasn’t getting much better. So they ran a couple more tests and charged $1,300 once again. Sara covered all the vet bills until we could get the refunds back from his insurance company. That in itself has made me a life long customer because she didn’t even hesitate! JUST TO CLARIFY THE REASON BEHIND THE VET HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH POOR BREADING OR NEGLIGENCE WHATSOEVER.

That being said Sara was more than generous with me and was able to get me another Boerboel who was a better fit for my family and if I could, I would give her a 10 ⭐️ review!

absolutely an amazing woman, and Breeding program. Also, the pictures of her dogs don’t do any justice they are ABSOLUTE GIANTS! The pup we adopted is now almost 6 months and just shy of 100lbs 🔥 96lbs to be exact.

It’s been 2 months, and I decided to add an update he’s now almost 7 months old and 114lbs He’s a big boy! I added some new photos.

I still talk to Sara and she’s so informative, and is a wealth of knowledge. I’ll be back for another boerboel someday in the future. Sara breeds Boerboels not for the money. But because she has a passion for this breed, and for the breed’s original build and structure. But most importantly the breeds outstanding health! After just one phone call with Sara you know she intends on keeping it that way! I’m excited to see what she’ll produce in the future!

If you are wondering about buying a dog from Sata Kennels, I would suggest going and getting one right now. There is no need to waste any more time. Both of my Sata boerboels have proven to be very intelligent, obedient, loving, and sensitive. They are also steadfast and protective. And let me tell you, physically they fit the bill. If you are looking for a giant breed that is more agile than other mastiffs and a little lower to the ground (low man wins!) and extremely powerful, the boerboel should be considered. They are incredible.
On a personal level, Sara and her family love their dogs and spend a lot of time socializing all of the puppies. This is a labor of love for them; they admire the boerboel breed and stay true to it. But she has stated they also breed their dogs for temperament and it absolutely shows.
All the other reviews are spot on, by the way.
You will not regret purchasing your family's next best friend from Sata Kennels.

I only have amazing things to say!!
The process of getting a puppy was so much fun! I was able to see the babies from the day they were born and watch them grow until the day she came home.
I received pictures, videos, and even did a video chat. When I sent a message Sara always answered in a timely manner. When I told Sara what I was going to name her, she started calling her by her name. When she came home she already knew her name and bonus... she was fully potty trained by the time she was 9 weeks!
I just LOVE my little Minnie! She is so well behaved and is my cuddle bug! I love her so much!

I purchased a Boerboel from Sata Kennels a little over a year ago. It was kind of impulsive but I was going through the most difficult time of my life. I am so glad I followed that impulse. With Sara's help, I told her what I was looking for and she suggested her 10-week old, Mavrick. Since the day he came home, he has loved and adored my 2 sons (at the time they were 9 and 11), and my 2 other dogs. He was a dream to train. Maverick wants nothing more in this life than to be with his family and make sure they are loved (he also enjoys food, treats, and toys!). He has helped me through PTSD episodes and anxiety attacks so severe I couldn't move. I don't know how he knows, but he knows exactly when he needs to get me on my feet and moving verses when I need a 150lb weighted blanket to comfort me in my grief. Maverick is always ready to give me a hug and is there with a shoulder for me to cry on and willing to lick my tears away if I would let him! His antics of wrestling with his Golden Retriever brother have me legitimately laughing! He is the first Boerboel I have ever had and if the rest are like him, it's the only breed I want! He's so calm! He's not my running buddy (that's my Golden), but I haven't felt lonely since I got him. A big THANK YOU to Sata Kennels for breeding such a gentle giant and taking the time, effort, and care to match me to a buddy to walk me through this part of my life. He's my big baby for the rest of his life! ❤️
