Before I got my golden retriever puppy, I did the puppy consultation with Sara where she came to my home and gave me invaluable tips to make sure I was fully set up to bring a puppy home. For instance, I had a crate all ready to go but she highly suggested a play pen filled with toys, etc. That advice alone saved me so much headache when I finally got my pup.

I had Sara train my puppy since I got him from 9 weeks old (just over 2 months old) until he was 5 months old to make sure my puppy got all the fundamental training during this critical learning period. I want my dog to be a good canine citizen.

Oakley is a very well trained puppy because of Sara. I get so many compliments from people as I take him on walks on how surprised they are on how well behaved he is for his age. I am very happy for the early training Oakley had. I know he will turn into a very good adult due to this early investment.

She also taught me a lot along the way. I did some initial reading and learning on YouTube before getting my pup. But it's always very helpful to have someone to talk to in person to get helpful knowledge. I learned a lot from Sara on how to train my dog, what to look out for in terms of body language, how to be a good positive reinforcement advocate, etc.

Sara is 100% worth the price.

Sara was terrific with out new puppy. Using positive reinforcement she taught her to come, sit, walk without pulling, and go to her mat and lie down.
Her training sessions were fun for us and enlightening. We learned a lot about dogs and what works for them and why. It gave us an appreciation for our pup and a better understanding of her ways of communicating.
It had been a while since we had a dog and as we discovered a lot has changed. Sara brought us up to date on training techniques, but also foods, treats, toys, and helpful publications. She even had good suggestions for sitters. Our pup is now one year old and I am very grateful that she got such a good start in life. To put it lightly, Sara has completely changed our dog’s and our lives. Sara is an exceptional trainer. She is unbelievably knowledgeable, trustworthy, pleasant to be around, and she really cares about your dog’s success. It’s hard to imagine what life was like before training with Sara. We couldn’t take our high energy, reactive goldendoodle anywhere. She was stressed, we were stressed, and nearly everything triggered her.

After asking questions and observing Wrigley’s behaviors over the course of a few days, Sara confirmed our hunch that Wrigley had a high level of anxiety and suggested talking to our vet about medication. We opposed it at first, and, without any judgment or insisting, Sara carried on with our training plan. After coming around to the idea, we can genuinely say we wished we asked our vet about medication sooner. 2 months on medication and 12 training sessions later, Wrigley’s behavior took a complete 180: our walks are pleasant, she is relaxed at home, in the car, and in new places -- unthinkable a few months prior.

I cannot recommend Sara enough. Her training will be your very best investment and you will never look back. Thank you x a million!!

Sara's training is simply exceptional. She uses thoroughly researched and scientifically based methods that get results. After shadowing Sara for several weeks and observing her work with dogs first hand, I can say with confidence that Sara is an exceptional dog trainer. Sara Munro is an unbelievable dog trainer and behaviorist. She will help you to understand your pup and develop a mutually trusting and rewarding relationship. She is kind and compassionate and as other reviewers have said, she has a plethora of creative ideas, resources and solutions for any problem behavior. She knows her material inside and out and clearly loves what she does, which shows! We came to Sara a few months ago for puppy training with our very strong and energetic pit bull puppy. Our pup immediately took to her training techniques, which are all based on positive reinforcement, and after the first session we already felt more empowered and less stressed. We have two children as well, and Sara found ways to incorporate them in our training and equally prioritized their relationship with our puppy. Sara has been able to help us understand why our pup acts the way he does and know how to detect his signals for things like fear or prey instinct. This allows us to get on top of behavior before it starts. Our boy is 8 months old now and as my husband affectionately calls him “our baby dragon,” he is one big strong puppy. I have reached out to Sara multiple times since our first puppy package and we recently signed up for some more sessions to help us navigate off-leash work. In our first beach training session, Sara created a safe and responsible environment in which our boy was able to explore on a long lead. After one session, I already see her shaping his behavior and steering us in the right direction. I am so grateful we have found Sara and will be going to her for all of our dog training needs to come. Our six year old female Vizsla, developed some unnerving and frankly scary reactive behaviors out on the trail when encountering other dogs several months after her older “sister” died. Suddenly, we had a new situation on our hands that we didn’t know how to handle and our hikes and runs became difficult to navigate.
