I adopted two black three month old kittens after having to say goodbye to my 20 year old fur baby cat, Ellie Mae.
The kittens saved me from spiraling into a depression after losing Ellie Mae. The kittens came with kennel names of Lindsay and Tobias and I changed their names to Raven and Flint, sister and brother. They are my furry Grand Babies. They are Pure Love and Joy. They love their new home and family. They run around like crazy and are curious about everything. Very healthy and well trained. They like to watch our chickens through the glass doors. Sometimes they stop playing long enough for petting and cuddles. They are rambunctious and a pleasure to have. They definitely keep us humans on our toes.
If you are thinking of adopting a fur baby, please remember they are not toys for children and they are not accessories. They are members of your family.

Would give them zero stars. I had an appointment today 9/25/2024 this morning and waited as you would normally do here. I have been taking my two dogs here, the first for 7 years and the other for 4 years. My four year old was due for her Rabies vaccine and a blonde female with glasses checked-in my dog everything was going well here. She went in and got a leash and muzzle because I had listed my dog gets anxious. She left me there for 40 minutes and helped other clients who had come in for similar appointments and I only saw that they were getting in and out while I stood there. When she was done and I was the only one there, she went to go get my dog and when I told her I didn't want to put the muzzle on because my dog has never used that before. She told me that if I didn't put the muzzle on then she could not vaccinate my dog. She said that she couldn't risk getting bit by my dog and catch rabies and then she told me that the only thing I could do was bring her in when she was sedated. When I told her why I had to sedate my dog when she had never in her 4 years been sedated to get her vaccines. She told me that she would ask her manager, five more minutes passed by. The manager came out told me the same thing the blonde lady told me and she said that my dog was barking and that's a sign of fear and she can't vaccinate that way. My dog likes to bark. Last time I checked, a lot of dogs bark when going to places like these, so this explanation was bogus. She told me that she can't do anything if I don't come back with my dog sedated to get her vaccine. I asked for a refund of the $10 I paid and she told me I would get it but they gave me a sedative which I said I did not want regardless. So I ended up getting $7.60 back and a displeasing experience that I made me feel frustrated and ignored. I don't know why it was so hard for them to simply tell me from the start that they would not do anything and save me the almost hour I lost waiting for a service that I never received.

I will no longer come here to get my pets vaccinations. I would rather pay my pets vet then, experience that negating behavior from those two people again. I don't know what happened to this place, it used to be good.

Was scheduled to do a Dog to Dog meet, to see if the dog my family and I wanted would do well with the dog we currently have. I go in for my appointment (scheduled the day before) to find someone already adopting the dog. I was told "It's first come, first serve", well, if anything I was the FIRST. I was not even given a call, wasting my time, my families time and my fiancée's time and gas to get down there.

I guess appointments and curtesy don't mean anything anymore.
The one woman was extremely rude about it to.
Like, what is the point? I was already in the process of adopting the dog, And they gave it to someone else. I wasn't given a chance.

One star for the clinic. I came for a pre dental consultation.
All they were supposed to do was look at 20lb 12 year old dogs teeth, and suggest further care.
they refused to let me come in the room with the doctor. They took my money and refused to provide service. No refund.

I arrived, waited 40 minutes, they took my dog in the clinic without me, and after waiting over an hour They brought my dog back out and refused to look at my dogs teeth without the dog being sedated, but If I were in the room or if they had just simply asked me to open my dogs mouth, I would have done so and they could have easily seen my dogs teeth.
They wasted hours of my life when the consultation could have been completed within minutes.

They wasted hours of my life and
How is it a consultation if I can't even be in the same room as my dog and the doctor?

Been coming here adopting dogs and cats since I was a kid. Now in seeing reports that ever since management changed that service has gone downhill. Too bad. Hopefully they improve.

This is an update to the review. I left yesterday. The woman who is not well logged in the community who is a CEO called me about the behavior and a very poor attitude of the woman at the front desk. When I went to ask about volunteering volunteering means working for free she was rude. She was dismissive and she was very officious in the very least, so the CEO called me and said oh I had to be a liar. It was this woman at the desk. She’s a pillar of community. That’s why she works at the Humane Society being rude to people that wanna help walk dogs good job, honey.

Shame on this place. What a disservice to the poor dogs. Can’t go back to see them. They asked us which dog we like, What breed, ETC. Like we were shopping for a car. Shame on you SBH.

Was looking for a place to train our brand new rescue pup. After doing a lot of research in SB, they offer various forms of dog training at half the price of most trainers. Very satisfied with the results!
