Our rescue lab puppy, Randy Marsh, went to Susan's boarding training program for 10 days and it was the best experience for him and us. Randy had a blast at Susan's, she has beautiful land to explore and other dogs that are part of the training. When we picked him up, Susan spent time with us explaining how to continue his progress through games and fun. This was exactly what Randy and WE needed. I appreciate the balanced training that includes mind stimulating learning & play training. We have tried training with treat after treat after treat and he is too smart and to treat motivated and only wants the treat making it hard for him to concentrate on the task. (No surprise, he is a full lab). Susan's balanced approach is the best for us. Since returning to us, he is GREAT on the leash, much better with recall and can stay in his place in my office and not be disruptive while I am working. Previously, Susan worked with our two other dogs who have very different temperments, one passed recently but he was terrified of people, the other is scared but also aggressive toward dogs. She helped us so much with them. I mention this because no matter what is going on with your dog, Susan can help. I also want to thank her because we still have our aggressive one, Annie, and consulted with Susan before we adopted Randy to be sure Randy and Annie would be okay together. I love her for that. She is open to answering our questions at anytime. Lastly, she is a great person. Thank you Susan!!

Highly recommend S. Miley Dog Training to anyone. Our boy came home a changed pup. From the day we adopted him, he was always on alert and had an uncontrollable prey drive. Now, he is able to relax and be a dog. He is a joy to take on walks and can even go on long hikes with us. The open communication and follow-ups have been incredibly helpful. Susan figured him out and taught us what we needed to know to have a happy, balanced dog.

I cannot say enough good things about Susan and her training. We have a special needs dog who is deaf and she was very tough as a puppy to communicate with and learn the way she learns. After the training with Susan, she listens better than any other the 2 previous trainers we tried before her.

We also very much appreciated Susan’s approach to training as it was less aggressive than other trainers we had been to before. We learned that our deaf dog doesn’t respond well to a one size fits all training method and has been very stressed at other trainers. Susan was very patient with her and was able to figure out her needs and train her according to that.

Lastly, Susan has been extremely helpful outside of the training for either follow ups or if we have further questions we have texted her and she has helped that way too. Every dog has their challenges and when we haven’t known what to do, Susan has been there to help guide us. We owe a lot to her for the growth our dogs have seen in their training.

If I could do 10 stars I would. What Susan did with our Weimaraner pup is nothing short of a miracle. We reluctantly let Susan take Frankie on her 3 week program, fearful that it wouldn’t work on him. Figured there was no way this pup was changing. Couldn’t imagine him not biting us and barking in our face, or his Hyde personality of crippling separation anxiety. Couldn’t imagine bringing him anywhere in public, ever. There was no chance, I thought. Well, If I knew how amazing the results we’d get would be, I would have paid double. Thank you, Susan. Because of your amazing work reprogramming him, and training us, we now have one of the cutest, happiest, and well-trained pups in Fort Collins! Can’t wait to have so many adventures with Frankie, and it’s all thanks to you.
