We absolutely loved our stay at Rush Creek. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, and the property is beautiful. We particularly enjoyed the spa, and the nightly activities in the Main Lodge. It's located just a few minutes outside the Big Oak Flat Entrance to the park, with Yosemite Valley about a 45 minute drive. I also have to shout out the service at the Lodge. Every single staff member, without exception, that we dealt with was friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. It made our stay just that much better. I can't recommend this place enough!

Staff were really nice! We didn’t have reservations for the spa but the staff was accommodating and were able to get a group of 4 of us in. Overall had a great experience here, will definitely be coming back soon. It is a 5min drive to the park, 40 min to Yosemite Village (slow driver).

The good:|- Amazing property. Gorgeous, close to the park entrance, and spacious rooms.|- Excellent for kids - zip lines, games, pool.|- Spa family time is great fun and a unique offering.|- Overall, staff is pleasant. Spa and general store staff in particular were great. ||The not good:|- The food is awful, with breakfast and lunch as the worst offenders. I recommend finding the things that can be the least messed up (charcuterie, burrata, grilled cheese). We found the food served at Curry Village to be far superior and affordable, which is really saying something. And it is ridiculously expensive. Interestingly, the special Christmas menu was the best and most interesting- like a completely different chef appeared and made it.||- The king beds are so hard. Oddly the twin beds are much more comfortable.||- The gas fire as a heater os great aesthetically, but expect a jump scare in the middle of the night when it turns on.||- There were often 1-3 items broken in the game room and the pool and/or hot tub out of service. ||- Some of the morning kids crafts are extremely basic. I wouldn’t rely on those to keep your kids entertained for long at any age. ||- I found the recreation employees to be very responsive to what you were asking for, but I would have expected them to be a bit more forthcoming with recommendations or probing questions.

We recently had a spa day as a bachelorette group and were extremely disappointed. The bride-to-be had visited before, when all the amenities were working, and thought this would be the perfect place to spend the weekend with her best friends before the big day.

When we arrived, the staff was welcoming, and the place smelled wonderful. However, once we were in our robes and ready to enjoy the facilities, we quickly became frustrated. More than half of the amenities were either unavailable or not functioning properly. In reality, only the steam room, hot room, and heated lounge chairs were working.

The dark ambiance room, which previously had heated seats, was now just a small space playing low music. The hot tub, which already had a strong sulfur smell when operational, was put out of service shortly after we arrived. The waterfall feature never turned on, and the hot rocks were completely absent. Not only that, but the leaning head water fall (both sections) were also out of service upom arrival.

To make matters worse, the spa became overcrowded with 20+ guests, and with so few working amenities, our group ended up grabbing blankets and lounging outside while we waited for the bride’s facial to be completed.

Overall, this experience was a major letdown.

We’ve been loyal guests of this establishment for years and have always loved it, especially during the holidays. However, our most recent stay—a four-night King Suite over Christmas week—did not live up to the high standards we’ve come to expect.

Unfortunately, it’s evident that the facilities are not being properly maintained. The small spa had burnt-out jets, the pool table was in terrible condition with the felt ripped to shreds, and many of the games were either old, broken, or missing pieces. While the food and drinks remain pricey, they are in line with the area, and we still found them enjoyable. The hospitality, as always, was wonderful and the highlight of our stay, but it couldn’t completely make up for the issues we encountered.

Joe J., the operations manager, reached out to apologize for our experience and informed us that a new pool table has been ordered. He also acknowledged the confusion surrounding the $65 day pass policy, which was not clearly communicated. The outdated lobby signage created frustration, and the lack of proper updates felt misleading. For the premium prices, we expect better communication and upkeep.

That said, we appreciate Joe J.’s willingness to improve communication about policy changes and his commitment to restoring the facilities to their former glory. We’re optimistic about these improvements and look forward to visiting Firefall. We are hopefully for a renewed and elevated experience.

We enjoyed everything about our stay. The location and amenities are great, our room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, and the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Every detail had been tended to. They have a great gift shop and general store, we enjoyed all of our meals, and we very much appreciated use of the laundry room. Photos posted by travelers online, and even their own website, just dont do the property justice.

Fantastic staff, rooms, spa, location, and food. We truly could not have asked for a better experience.||The staff is friendly and helpful.||Our room, a villa, had amazing views and a beautiful balcony as well as a fireplace, a microwave and mini fridge and fantastic shelves and hooks for our gear. ||The spa was not large but had many offerings: a sauna, mineral spa, sensory room, etc. ||The resort is very close to the Yosemite entrance with lots of hiking nearby.||The restaurant had a good variety of food, a full bar, and quality ingredients. ||We can’t wait to return!

This is a review of the spa and the spa facilities. My partner and I went last week for massages and the staff was very friendly and welcoming. The facilities such as steam room, sauna room, heated lounge chairs, hot tub, heated (outdoor) lounge area were all impressive. There’s even a tea station for your relaxation and convenience. The change rooms have lockers and a few toiletries if needed.
There’s massage itself was excellent. I had Robert as my RMT and my partner had Danielle. Both were very professional and amazing at their jobs.
The only negative I experienced was that the massage rooms were not insulated very well. During the entirety of the whole massage, I could hear someone blasting music next door. This made it very hard to relax despite having the ambient noise in the room on loud. I’m not sure if there was an event at the same time. I understand this is very hard to control which is unfortunate. I tried very hard to concentrate on the massage and the ambient noise in the room, however it was very distracting.
