I cannot recommend Rocky Mountain Dog Training enough. Our puppy is a breed sometimes considered “stubborn” so we knew we needed to get him started with training as soon as possible. Rocky Mountain Dog Training offered the perfect solution with their Ultimate Puppy School. The 4 week program established foundational skills, introduced good socialization behavior, and built confidence through exposure to all types of different situations such as groomer and vet handling. It was a joy to watch his progress each week, and we were so happy with the experience we added two additional weeks. Julie and Christine are a wealth of knowledge and provided a safe, happy environment for our puppy to learn and grow. He’s now nearly six months and people are astounded at how well behaved he is — which we always credit to the stellar experience we had with Ricky Mountain Dog Training. No matter what service you select, you are setting your puppy and your family up for long term success.

A well deserved five stars. I took my young pup to a puppy socialization class. I learned so much from Julie in one hour that I knew I had to sign up for the basic manners for puppies. The program absolutely set me up for success to help guide my puppy along week by week. I love the way the class is structured. There is a great amount of learning that is available on a handout folder and videos to follow through what is taught each week in class. So nice to have the tools to go back and continue to learn on. Julie is amazing at her craft and the knowledge she has is unmatched. She is great at teaching, but also shows such kindness and compassion to both the humans and the puppies in her class. I appreciate her taking the time to answer all of my questions along the way. I know for a fact I would be lost in trying to train my puppy without her. Her class has given me the confidence to keep working to set my puppy up for continued success. If you are thinking about working with Rocky Mountain Dog Training, you absolutely should! Thank you Julie for everything! Such a positive experience.

Rocky Mountain Dog Training was an A+ experience! Our new pup Mookie joined them for puppy day school. In the program Christine and Julie laid a solid foundation for his training, his adventures, his socialization, and even his handling during grooming. He learned so many skills that we were able to take home and use in our everyday life! He came home happy everyday (a bit tired - needed a good puppy nap) and loved going! He had so many friends! It was also super cute to see! I'm so grateful to them and so glad we choose them for this important developing time in his young puppy life 🙂

I just wanted to let you all know that Mookie just had his first grooming experience!

When I picked him up she told me that in her 25 years of grooming he was the best puppy she had ever had!

That whatever you all do at puppy school really works and she wishes everyone did what I did in sending him to you all 🙂

Julie and Christine were awesome. We signed Murphy up for the Puppy Social program for 3 weeks and the difference from the first day to the last is amazing. He now has the confidence and knows how to appropriately play with other pups. He was excited to get there every day and you could tell Christine and Julie were happy to see him everyday.

Next time we have puppy needs we would go back to them in a heartbeat. Thank you two for taking such good care of our puppy!

I truly cannot say enough great things about the Basic Manners for Puppies group class at Rocky Mountain Dog Training! Julie was extremely knowledgeable and great with the puppies. She shared her time between all the dogs and always knew how to make a command simpler if a dog wasn’t getting it.

Every class built upon the last, which made it really easy to teach the puppies harder commands by breaking them down into smaller tasks. You also get handouts and videos after each session for reference throughout the week.

We will certainly be signing up for the level 2 class at RMDT!

If setting your puppy up for success is important to you, look no further! This is truly the BEST place in Colorado to bring your puppy. The owner Julie is multi-certified, has a ton of experience, and is so passionate about the prevention of fear/stress later in life through proactive socialization! Julie & Christine are so friendly & always took the time to listen to any questions I had. I am a certified dog trainer myself, and am very selective about where I bring my new puppy. I am glad I brought Echo here, I noticed so many positive changes during the 2 weeks he attended puppy school. He gained confidence, learned how to play beautifully, became even better in his crate training, became way less spooked about neighborhood noises, started enjoying being handled more, and overall it was clear all of his play, enrichment, and training needs were met those weeks. When Echo came home each day from school, he was playful, relaxed and happy, which made me SO happy. He wasn't exhausted from stress, like many dogs are after coming home from daycare facilities, which showed me that they truly put the well-being of the puppies first. He was also calm & content every day when we arrived, proudly trotting in the door himself, he was never anxious or over aroused. The only mistake I made was choosing the 2-Week Social Puppy instead of the 4-Week Ultimate Puppy! He loves it there SO much, and Julie + Christine provide honest helpful feedback about which areas the puppies need more focus on!

Wow. I am so thankful that we found Rocky Mountain Dog Training for our new puppy. Julie has a gift when it comes to teaching you the behavior and needs of a new dog. Her steps for dog training are not only incredibly effective, but also help to strengthen the bond between you and your dog. I have a much better understanding of my pup thanks to Rock Mountain Dog Training. The class was broken into small manageable bits that make it easy on the dog and the humans. We enrolled our 9-week-old puppy, Violet, in Rocky Mountain Dog Training's (RMDT) Day School program, and it was a game-changer! Julie and Christine are indeed "gentle wizards" when it comes to dog training. They taught Violet invaluable foundational skills like "place," "wait," "leave it," and "sit" in a nurturing and supportive environment.

We were so impressed with the progress Violet made that we opted for the additional two-week customized program. They tailored Violet's training to meet our family's specific needs, focusing on loose leash walking, introducing hunting skills, and overcoming nail trimming challenges.

Violet adored her time at RMDT and eagerly anticipated each day's adventures. As a bonus, Christine's one-on-one sessions with us humans were incredibly informative, empowering us to support Violet's growth and development.
