We brought our Dixie girl in towards the beginning of January due to reactivity to dogs. We did everything we knew how to do at home and we just needed help. 4 weeks later with an AMAZING trainer Andy and our Dixie girl is home and thriving with her training! It’s a lot of work for us humans but Andy and his team at Ridgeside made it easier for us to understand and work on bettering her! We are so thrilled to see what the next few months and years with our girl will look like! Highly recommend Ridgeside and all their training programs, grooming, daycare etc! The staff are so willing to help and won’t let you down! So much information is given to the parents and the willingness to teach you hands on, via video , text or even call is incredible. We will definitely be using them with future dogs if needed!

Adopted an adorable ‘super mutt’ from the Caribbean. An extremely smart little guy who needed some manners and a bit of training to not be reactive to other dogs and people. Originally enrolled him in the 4-week on leash training course with Andy, and liked it so much that we added on the additional 2-week off leash training. Andy was everything you’d want in a trainer: kind, persistent, understanding, and patient. Our pup adored him and came back to us 6 weeks later quite the gentleman. No more rushing or barking at other dogs, no more pulling at the leash trying to jump on people. Now when someone rings our doorbell or enters our home, I simply tell our dog to go in his ‘place’ and he does so immediately, sits quietly, and is then a pleasure to introduce to visitors.We can now take him places and he’s so well behaved. I’m amazed at the difference. I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to have a calmer, more polite canine. Thanks to Andy and the entire staff - a great group of people.

At Ridgeside they really care about their clients. They helped with my dog when my family had an emergency and got medicine for my dog when I was out of town. The unlimited follow-ups make it worth it. The staff loves to spoil my dog. She had some aggression and I had worked with 5 other trainers with no progress. Now she is doing so much better around other dogs. It is amazing that they could do what the other trainers could not. Photos are ones they sent me while she was in training and a Christmas extra.

My boy was great but had some challenges. He was reactive to other dogs on our walks, and had a hard time settling down and finding his off switch when it was time to. I also had to constantly reset him into a heel position on his walks what seemed like every 45 seconds. I felt like a treat dispenser on our walks to bribe him to walk more smoothly at times. His struggles with this increased when we turned into a 2 dog household. Constantly harassing his sister and reacting to her every move.

I needed help in these areas with him and knew it was time for board and train. I am extremely attached to my boy and had a lot of anxiety for MONTHS leading up to this about being away from him for 3 weeks and the irrational fear of anything happening to him since he wouldn't be under my watch.

Its has now been 3 months since I picked him up and let me tell you it was worth EVERY PENNY. He does not even need me to bring treats on our walk ever. Dogs lose their mind when they see him and he stays cool as a cucumber when using the methods that were taught by Andy.

This training program shows a difference in our life everyday. When I go for a walk and I'm no longer anxious about what dog we might pass or if he is going to react or try to lead the way. It's a whole new world for us and his world just got a whole lot bigger! He will be coming with me anywhere he is allowed and this will be an increase in mental stimulation for him which is so good for these dogs!

This is the life I imagined for us, thank you so much to Andy and the team at Ridgeside K9! I had such a great experience that I plan on taking him back just to see what else we can teach him to expand his world even further.

Ridgeside K-9 Knoxville is 100% dedicated to dog, and owner success. The skill I witnessed in each video, and result of my dog was immaculate. My girl Riley just got home from the 6 week program with Andy, and I couldn’t be more happy with her results. I am proud to be walking around with a dog that was trained by Andy. Andy has clear communication, and goes into great detail for what to expect as you go home. As for grooming, Ray, always leaves Riley looking top notch, and smelling SO GOOD. Also, I purchased one of their beds, and it’s very aesthetically pleasing! 😂 overall great experience, and I know if I ever need anything in the future, Andy will always be my first call to be successful, and be a happy dog owner!

They did a great job! One of the best groomers I’ve been to! Easily accessible over the phone/text message and made sure the hair cut was exactly what I was wanting! They even asked for pictures. They were very good with my dog, especially since he gets anxious when left at new places.

Our dog Scout loves to go to doggie daycare at Ridgeside K9. We take him Tuesdays and Thursdays and on Tuesday and Thursday mornings he is so excite, we think he knows what day it is and when he goes to doggie daycare. He follows us all over the house just waiting for us to get ready and take him. Most mornings he even starts to bark at us letting us know it's time to go. We take him there so he can socialize with other dogs and play with other dogs. He has a lot of energy and he needs to have play time in order to calm him down. He is tired after a day at doggie daycare.
