This place is awesome! The Kabernas are wonderful people who will bend over backward for you, and they take excellent care of the horses. They even grain the pasture horses. That's unheard of.

When I moved my horse there, he was hot-headed, had ulcers and other various pain issues and just overall snarky and difficult to deal with. Not anymore! In the six weeks that we've been there, his improvement is off the charts. He is so happy, and his pain and ulcer issues have totally subsided. He gets to run around and play with the other horses during the day and gets the comfort and security of a barn stall at night.

The arenas are fantastic with great footing, and the trail riding is spectacular. I highly recommend this place! I don't think I'll ever leave.

Our horse, Timber, has been at Red Tail for nearly a year, and I couldn’t be more impressed. I’d give them 10/5 stars if it were an option.

Darren, Christine, they’re 3 boys, and staff give me enormous confidence that my horse is well cared for, nourished, and looked at daily.

The facilities are extremely nice, and the cost is very reasonable for what we get.

Darren and Christine are the best! They have been really accommodating and always open to talking through suggestions or ideas. I recently moved to Colorado from the east coast and was concerned about finding a good place with care that I felt comfortable with and couldn’t be happier here. I don’t have to worry if my horse is being taken care of or if an injury will go unnoticed - they genuinely care about each horse on the property and go above and beyond to make sure everyone’s needs are taken care of. I was initially worried about my horse adjusting to the herd but they kept an eye on him and made sure he was happy/safe. Darren also recently helped me set up some cross country jumps just a few days after I asked him about it 😊

Very happy with Red Tail Ranch! Darren, Christine, and sons have treated my family like family and welcomed us to the equine world. They recently caught one of our horses whom was colic at a feeding and saved him due to early intervention with the vet - thankful for the extra eyes. Three horses and they are all happy and loving the 88 acres of freedom to be a horse. The indoor arena is amazing for both winter riding and warm summer days. The views are also pretty amazing too!

We are so fortunate to have found Red Tail Ranch for our geldings. The property is beautiful, and Darren, Christine and the boys are so great with all of the horses. They go above and beyond to ensure every horse in their care is well looked after, and they’re very proactive in communicating anything that we should be aware of. Their oldest son Dylan is riding my one horse weekly and making huge strides in his behavior and fitness. I’m grateful to have Red Tail as home for Blue and Takoda.

I both boarded my horse here and bought a slow feeder from them after moving him to my property. The arenas there are awesome. Especially the indoor which is great when it’s cold or wet out. They were so helpful with putting our feeder together, loading it on our truck, and educating us on how it works.

Darren and Christine took in my rescue horse (with special needs) and made a safe place for him to land; we came from Santa Fe NM. Prior to his arrival, he was typically 8/10 on the nervous scale and strangers could not get near him! Within weeks of his arrival Darren took a picture with Myracle’s head just over his shoulder. I could not believe my horse was so close to him!! Myracle’s stress level dropped measurably when he landed at Red Tail. Since then, I have come to appreciate and rely on the Kabernas’ knowledge and help; they are a true asset to the horse community in Teller County. I highly recommend them and Red Tail Ranch! …and their boys are both darling and skilled.

Highly recommend! I have experienced many full service boarding facilities and none hold a candle to Red Tail Ranch! Not only is the facilities incredible! But the owners truly care! They have plans for how to integrate your horses into the herd safely. They know everything about what's going on with all the horses. If there is ever a question or concern they contact you right away. I know my horses are in great care. Not to mention I love riding the property and the arena.
