I originally wrote this in 2017. In 2023 I adopted a pup from Sam that she rescued from an abusive situation. She's amazing.

Original review from 2017: When I was in the hospital for nearly 4 months my pups Trista and Scooby stayed with Sam and Random Rescue. I was in the hospital with my dying mother when I too was admitted to the hospital. Two days after I was admitted my mother passed away. I was overwhelmed emotionally and physically, mourning the loss of my mother and dealing with my health issues. Sam stepped in without hesitation, taking in my pups without knowing how long they'd be in her care and without knowing if I'd even be able to compensate her and the rescue. This is a testament to what kind of person Sam and everyone at Random Rescue is.

The care they received, and the peace of mind that gave me, made it so much easier to concentrate on getting healthy and recovering. Trista and Scooby are my family, knowing that they were being taken care of was incredibly important in my recovery. Being able to check in on them, having a friend or family member bring them to the hospital to visit, and seeing pictures and videos of them on the Facebook page was so great.

As if all of that wasn't enough, when they finally came home I noticed that Scooby especially was calmer than he had been before going to Random Rescue. Both had been well behaved, and were potty trained, but Scooby had pretty severe anxiety. Things like thunderstorms and fireworks would cause him to pant and whimper. He'd run away from beeps, like the sound the microwave makes when you touch the buttons or when it's done. Ever since he has been home though he has snoozed through several thunderstorms and 4th of July fireworks, which both always scared him, and no longer runs from noises like the microwave or beeps on my phone. I don't know what kind of sorcery they practice at Random Rescue but not seeing my buddy have panic attacks is pretty great!

From the bottom of my heart, thank you to Sam and Random Rescue for coming to our aid during a really dark, difficult time in life. I couldn't recommend them enough if you need to have your pup (s) boarded. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!

My worst nightmare !!!!! Stay Far Away from this place !!!! Danger ! My father was passing away so I needed to board my beloved dog for a week . Within 2 days he was attacked, mauled , eviscerated and killed by the other dogs . Negligent . Inexcusable . At my father’s deathbed I received a call from Onion River Animal Hospital that my Beau had passed . No word at all from Sam !!!!!!!😡😡🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️😡😡😡😡 this was 10 years ago !!! I can’t believe she’s still scamming people. Stay away !

I recommend Sam and her Random Rescue organization without any hesitation. She helped me find a home for my beloved dog, without any judgment, and with so much compassion and understanding. She found an ideal home for my dog within just a couple of days. She treated my dog with as much love and care, as if it was her own beloved dog. She is incredibly devoted to taking care of these animals. She understands dogs and their individual needs in a way that most people do not.
I noticed that the only reviews that included complaints were referring to her not returning their calls or emails ( regarding wanting to adopt)as quickly as they would like. If they understood how demanding her responsibilities are, and how devoted she is to taking care of the animals that she has under her care, they would better understand. There is only so much someone can do when they have a limited budget and cannot hire staff. And I praised her for making the priority taking care of the animals that she has.

Our 14yo and 1yo dogs just finished a week of boarding. They came back happy and tired. They were clearly lovingly cared for. We will definitely use Samantha's boarding again.

Sam and her family are truly wonderful and kind people, and my dog had a fantastic time being boarded there. Definitely a great place to board your pup and not have to worry about them while you are gone. Thanks again for letting Hank live in luxury while I was in the woods!
