Rachel was a phenomenal trainer for our puppy. She was patient, knowledgeable, calm yet direct. Our energetic puppy immediately responded to her and we learned a lot through the process. The puppy improved weekly under Rachel’s guidance. She asked our goals for the pup and worked through them with us. Our puppy is a joy to walk, has excellent recall off leash, and is learning how to be calm around other dogs and people - all thanks to Rachel’s patient guidance.

Rachel was easy to work with, flexible with scheduling, and very professional. She was highly recommended to us and we would highly recommend her to anyone. Absolutely top dog trainer in the area.

We were having some trouble in our training journey and needed hands on help to work through it. Rachel is very professional, courteous and very knowledgeable. Our walks are more enjoyable now that we've had this help to identify our misses and improve our communication with our dog. Would recommend to anyone looking for training. Whether they're just starting, experienced or even just need help working through some kinks. Thanks Rachel!

I highly recommend Rachel. We have two dogs (one 3 year old rescue and one 9 month old puppy) who shared some common needs for socialization and obedience, and some vastly different needs to improve anxiety in certain situations or basic leash manners.
Rachel was able to work with our concerns for both dogs during private sessions and we have been able to successfully lay down the ground work to continue building upon for a lifetime. Rachel helped us work on our specific goals and introduced us to tools that we had not considered. It was really great to see some of the immediate successes in only a few sessions.
I am very pleased to report that we are transitioning into group training, which was something that I could not imagine as a possibility a few months ago.

Rachel couldn't have come at a more perfect time. We rescued our pup, Lady, at about 5 months old, and we knew that her behavior and socialization skills would require some real work. We went from short, dreaded walks to long, enjoyable walks within as little as 3-4 weekly sessions with Rachel. We can now walk out of our front door and confidently know that Lady's not going to try and bolt, and by the end of week 10, we were out safely practicing off leash work. Lady had acquired the skills and awareness to stay nearby, despite distractions, and we had the confidence to let her roam without fear of her approaching others. We highly recommend Rachel's services to anyone considering a dog trainer within the Napa Valley / Bay Area.

**Her group classes have also been perfect for socialization and general upkeep / practice.

Rachel from the start has been amazing! She was the ONLY dog trainer that responded to me so quickly when I initially reached out to her. She helped educate me and teach me how to train my now obedient golden doodle puppy, Louis. She was patient and always informative. She’s always introduced training techniques in ways were Louis would ease into them and calmly. Her approach with him has now made him a well behaved happy puppy! Thank you Rachel

Recently my family added a Cane Corso pup to the mix. By 14 weeks he had grown to 46lbs and we knew we needed professional training as he would soon out weigh the entire family.

We contacted Rachel and she offered to help us after a consultation. Zeus pulled in the leash during walks, he refused to come when called, sit and stay was out of the question entirely.

We have now been working with Rachel for about 2.5 months and Zeus is a whole new dog. Thankfully as he is now over 100lbs. He heals when walking never pulling any longer, comes when called, sits and stays until released.

He graduated today and we couldn’t be more grateful for Rachel and her help.

If you are looking into having your dogs trained with Rachel, abosolutely do it! If I could give her more than 5 stars I would. I am beyond happy with Rachel's work with two of my dogs. Our consultation went extremely well as she really took the time to get to know both of my dogs through different exercises and with observing my handling of them. She was very professional, kind, and patient. She thoroughly explained what she observed, her training program via private lessons which lead to group classes once she deems them and I ready, and most importantly to me, she speaks with a very considerate and understanding demeanor during what can seem embarrassing and a hopeless situation. She also makes herself available to help with questions or concerns at all times so you know you will always have her support. I love my dogs and like to think of myself as a responsible dog owner, however if you'd seen my dogs on walks prior to training, you would think otherwise. My chiweenie mix was a rescue from Tijuana, Mexico, who is freakishly strong and used to pull on the leash during walks so hard that my arm would get so sore. He was also very reactive of other dogs and would growl, lunge and bark uncontrollably. I was so embarassed and disheartened that I gave up and stopped walking him. My other dog, another rescue through the local humane society that is a pomeranian/chihuahua mix, is a bundle of energy. She was perfect when we first adopted her, but after 3 months of her getting settled in, her real personality started to show. She was extremely aggressive and reactive toward other dogs. So much so that if she could not get to the other dogs, she would turn and bite me out of frustration. Again I had another dog I could barely control on walks.
Now, after finishing a few weeks of private training sessions, my dogs are such a pleasure to walk. They are very responsive to commands and are so eager to please. Rachel used their strengths and worked on their flaws in a way that made it understandable and easy enough for me to continue the training on my own until each next session. I have a clear understanding of what I need to do as their owner which makes it easy for my dogs to understand what is expected of them. Now I can spend more time loving them instead of being frustrated with them.

Rachel has a kind and firm and honest way of dealing with dogs and their humans. I have taken both private and group lessons with her, both of which have been immensely helpful. I had no control over my dog, Lola, when I first adopted her. Rachel taught me how to train her and how to understand her. I also appreciate Rachel's honesty. She understands dogs well and doesn't sugar-coat things. When my daughter's dog was thrown into the mix, Rachel found a way to slowly introduce the dogs so that it was safe and enjoyable for us all. I cannot speak highly enough about Rachel's abilities, and I whole-heartedly recommend her services.
