We adopted our 4 year old pit mix Chanel 2 years ago. She was a rescue and not socialized much by the previous owners. She has been attacked a few times by some neighborhood dogs out here in Vista Ca when we go on walks. She is overly aggressive with large dogs and wants to fight. We brought her to Pro-Train to get some discipline and get her over some of her insecurities towards other dogs. The staff did a great job working with her and teaching us how to properly reinforce positive behavior and correct her aggressive behavior. She is so much better on leash now and we understand her triggers and how to correct them quickly before she over reacts. She is still a work in progress but after 4 weeks at their facility she has made so much progress. My wife is now confident that she can take Chanel on walks and handle her without concern. Shell is hands down the best dog trainer ever! She trained my service dog Tater as a hearing dog. Tater alerts me to sounds, cars, people, and so much more. Shell was patient with me as the handler and an overprotective dog mom. Shell also was amazing teaching not only my service dog but also me. She is very communicative and effective and thorough. I can't help but praise her overall professionalism and how so has embraced my dog and our family.

Shell also matched my husband with a service dog. Comet is the sweet boy who provides deep pressure therapy and blocks for when my husband is in crowded areas.

Our family is in debt to Shell and ProTrain for making our family inclusive and they continue to provide support.

Comet goes with us everywhere and has gone to Disneyland.
Tater goes with me to school and to doctors appointments.

We are lucky to have found such an amazing trainer and business.

I don't even know where to start. In October 2021, we brought home our 8 week old Vizsla puppy. We barely got through the sleep and potty training but we were wanting just basic good manners training. We were referred to Pro-Train by my cousin, and we got way more than basic good manners. He is such a well behaved puppy now, it's made such a huge difference in our house. Pro-Train makes it a point to not just train our dogs but they take the time to train the humans. It has been a game changer for us. Everyone at Pro-Train has been amazing but I will call out Shell, she's been great with not just our puppy, she is great with us, the humans, too. She was always willing to explain something to us over and over, her patience with us (and the puppy) is amazing. We didn't just get 3 weeks of training, the consistent follow up visits are fantastic, because it keeps us accountable. I highly highly HIGHLY recommend Pro-Train!!!

We recently got a new puppy, a Great Pyrenees and poodle mix, and were referred to protrain by a friend. We had been using an online training program, which wasn’t working for our situation, as our (very large) puppy was starting to play bite and nip at our kids quite a bit, and jumping up onto people during walks. We went through the puppy management program initially with Shell, who gave us invaluable training tips for our dog. We then realized that it would be best to separate our dog from our kids temporarily to get him trained, though we were so nervous to send him away, and we registered him for the Board and train program. Wayne was an amazing trainer and teacher, and we are so happy we invested in this program! We can now enjoy our dog and bring him everywhere with us. No more biting or nipping, and we are now able to easily train him around our new chickens. I love that we are able to bring him back for free refresher training for life as well!
