The staff here is absolutely amazing! My husky decided to go on a run this morning (01/22) off leash and when he ran behind and in front of their business. All of the staff were so quick and willing to help me! If I ever need to board him they will be my first choice! They had no idea who I was and were quick to spring into action to help a dog in need. That speaks volumes to their character!

I’ve used City Bark, too, but I prefer The Pooch. I live in Park Hill, so it’s close. My big lab loves it there, whether for day care or overnight stays. When he was young he stayed with the young play group. Now they put him in with the bigger players and they still sometimes put him in with the small dogs as he’s gentle with the young ones. They really care about the dogs and I love their sleep time routine at mid day from 10 am - 2 pm. Couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

We are new in town and had to unexpectedly board our lab Rosie for several weeks. I was already very nervous about how she would react to a new home in Denver, and then adding a 3 week new boarding experience added to the stress. All that to say Rosie thrived in this wonderful place! She was obviously so loved and cared for. It brought so much peace of mind, and the next time she needed boarding she nearly broke my arm running into the building! I highly recommend!!

Scanning through the reviews and agree with all the good stuff! Josie absolutely loves coming here and seems to know which days those are... she's very verbal those mornings... let's go! let's go! let's go! I joking say that the order of things Josie loves are 1. treats 2. playful pooch 3. balls/toys 4. me. 🙂 The Pooch people are very kind and resourceful. Just tonight, I got some great advice that made a heck of a lot more sense that the stuff the vet provided (which hasn't worked). We're getting started on the new advice immediately. I never worry about Josie or her well-being when she's in their hands.

We are so glad to have found Playful Pooch! We had been gifted with an extremely (oftentimes painfully) energetic wheaten terrier and she has more energy than we could possibly make her expend in a day. Thankfully, we can count on a day with Playful Pooch to tire her out, socialize her when she's not always being a good girl, and generally giving her a fun time away from home. Prices are extremely reasonable for an entire day of handling our pup and we love that she has her own kennel to relax in, and they are great about feeding Morrighan her own food, since she is notorious for a sensitive tummy.

Brad and Sio are extremely friendly working up front and we love to see the affection they treat all the dogs with. The fact that the facility has recently been updated and renovated is also a testament to the care they put into the animals. The on-site bathing is also nice when Morrighan may be particularly stinky after a day of play. The food they offer is high-quality and the front is always well-kept and clean. Considering we live out near the airport, getting Morrighan here during rush hour can be a pain but that's Denver! And the treatment, prices, and people are well work the trip.

P.S. We love the bandana that they put on her when she's freshly bathed. It's a cute touch!

Playful Pooch is a wonderful place for your fur baby. A family-owned business that knows and loves every dog in their care. Great outdoor and indoor (for cold or inclement weather) facilities, based on size and temperment. NOT an oversized "factory-type" place. Brad and Sharene are special people and business owners and have a great staff. Highly recommend.

Awesome folks working there. Our dog loves everyone at playful pooch. She has special dog friends that she has made at playful pooch and recognizes them when she is out and about in my neighborhood. Really cute!
