We brought a boat motor here to have it fixed, and also paid for a new motor that he said would arrive in 4-6 months. Our original motor still doesn’t work correctly. It’s also been over a year and we still have no new motor. We cannot get ahold of him as he refuses to call us back, so we essentially paid over $1,000 for nothing.

I bought a 12 ft Lund boat from the plainville boat shop. I asked if the boat was in good condition since it was used. The owner there said "yes". I bought a 5hp suzuki motor for $1,500 to go with it. Well I made sure the plug was in before going in. I took it in the lake and I thought everything was ok. I stopped to fish and water started going through the seams at a very fast pace. So fast that the boat sank. I got the boat out and it ruined my new suzuki outboard. WOW this guy said he checked everything on it and that it was ready to go in the water, "no leaks". I looked at the seams after taking the boat out and the rivets where lose. I took the boat to get the seams welded but when they tried it was not possible. There was epoxy inside the seam and it would not allow the weld to stick. The epoxy would expand from the heat. The job to remove all the rivets, re-rivet it and weld the seam cost more than the boat. The boat is now in the scrap metal yard. Thanx plainville boat shop.

The owner of this shop will try and screw you over any chance he gets. I won't go into details for legal reasons. Just stay clear of this place! He doesn't even deserve one star for a rating. But you have to at least give one.
